Primary Purpose:

Analytically support the formulation of the Global Product Assortment. Collaborate with the Global Merchandising team through all phases of product life cycle: preseason product line planning and in-season global trend analysis. Partners with merchandising team and all business channels to set and ensure growth targets are achieved. Relied upon for thought leadership, analytical skill, and strategic innovation.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Global Merchandise Planning to...

Global sales trend analytics:

Provides analysis and reporting to identify global and regional product trends for Sr Executives

Reports global best sellers and measures impact of new trends

Summarizes investments and highlights risks/areas of opportunity

Continuously identifies global assortment changes based on analysis, product trends, and productivity

Builds short and long range product plans based on current trends

Utilizes existing tools and innovates new theories/methods to project product trends for all product categories

Global Assortment Planning:

Provides quarterly financial framework for global assortment

Forecasts new trends and studies history to make focused recommendations

Builds actionable strategies around risks and opportunities identified in the business

Collaboratively drives global investments for all channels by being a catalyst for communications around risks and opportunities

General / Other:

Fosters effective teamwork and communication with business partners

Becomes product expert in areas of responsibility

The accomplished individual will possess...

College Degree required.

2-3 years of experience in planning, strategy, or business analytics.

Retail experience a plus. Financial services, and consulting applicable.

An outstanding professional will have...

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Superior presentation and communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of management

Must demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work on multiple projects

Strong teamwork and ability to adjust to competing and shifting priorities

Strong degree of ownership and attention to detail

Excellent Microsoft Excel / technical skills
