POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

Responsible for monitoring and controlling facilities and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

*Monitors pipeline to ensure that petroleum products are safely transported. *Monitors, controls, and directs the delivery of petroleum products. *Ensures that finished petroleum product or crude has been delivered by way of the pipeline to its ultimate destination. *Monitors tank inventories, temperatures, line pressures, and meter counts. *Monitor pipeline performance and make changes to the delivery and pump schedule as needed. *Ensures all work activities adhere to government regulations and rules. *Performs duties in adherence with company procedures, standards, and specifications.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

*Ability to understand and use SCADA and associated communication systems *Ability to perform basic math and simple Algebra *Ability to read scales, graphs and charts *Ability to read tables quickly and accurately *Ability to create basic MS Office spreadsheets *Ability to make rapid decisions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*High School Diploma or GED required; Preferable Associate's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry or military experience. *Proven analytical and judgment skills; extremely detail-oriented; high level of communication and interpersonal skills; must be an independent thinker with the ability to make sound, logical decisions in a multi-tasking work environment. *Good computer skills are a must. *Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts which include holidays, weekends and evening/midnight shifts. *Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check. *Equivalent work experience could be beneficial; however, these positions require a specific training period, regardless of prior experience. *Current valid driver's license required. *Applicants must be professional, have a positive attitude and be a team player. *Overtime is mandatory at times.
