This position will perform the roles of business analyst and project manager for small and large projects for Perdue AgriBusiness. The projects will adhere closely to the AgriBusiness strategic plans, as well as to the Business Process Development Team strategy. The business analyst role includes building business cases, gathering requirements, designing business processes and training and supporting users. The project manager role coordinates all phases of projects including communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities/Duties

Assist business leaders in building strong business cases to support assigned initiatives.

Must be comfortable working with external vendors to augment resources particularly for development and business consulting services.

Ensure AgriBusiness project management methodologies and metrics are utilized to support successful delivery of all projects in area of responsibility. Meet success criteria for all assigned projects by delivering on time, on/under budget, meeting all documented business requirements with no significant impact upon go-live/post go-live.

Must be able to look across projects to allocate the right internal and external resources. Maintain resource utilization data on how project resources are utilized from a skill set perspective, including training and development of internal resources.

Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and partner with technical teams to develop technical specifications.

Leverage vendor management best practices for vendors who provide products/services to specific areas of responsibility. Partner with Purchasing to aggressively maximize the value of IT spend. Vendor management to include vendor performance, future roadmap of products & services, author/validate all commercial documentation, and issue escalation.

Ensure application solutions meet all legal requirements, internal controls, and accounting standards.

Required Experience

Seven years experience with business process reengineering and translating business requirements to technical solutions

Managed multiple large projects with full cycle implementations in a senior level role

Strong blend of business and technology skills with a detailed understanding of common business processes

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization

Strong negotiation skills required

Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects

Required Education

Four year degree in business or computer-related major is required

Masters degree a plus

CPM or PMP certification a plus

AgriBusiness or similar industry experience is preferred
