\rPosition Overview\rThis role is responsible for but not limited to maintaining production output and product quality by ensuring the safe operation of machinery and assembly equipment as well as supervising staff.  A conscientious manufacturing process expert who is hands on and enjoys working with people in a manufacturing environment to lead all production activity including Production Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervision, plant safety and lean initiatives. A hands on professional who excels in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to deliver sustainable and superior results.
\rDuties and Responsibilities\rUnder general direction of the Distribution Manager supervise all daily activities of the Distribution Center including warehouse receiving, storage, order processing and shipping areas.

Supervise the daily physical receipt of all inbound shipments, and the inspection, identification, counting, breakdown and putaway of all products received; supervise timely reporting of all receipts.

Supervise the daily replenishment to the forward pick areas and the stock rotation of all finished goods to achieve a first-in first-out inventory cycle.

Supervise the annual physical inventory of finished goods.

Supervise filling, checking, packing, labeling, weighing and shipping of customer orders.

Provide for the packing, marking and transportation arrangements of all export shipments.

Route and otherwise determine the type of service required on customer orders consistent with delivery dates and to best suit the Company’s operating needs.  Select the appropriate carriers on the basis of economies and delivery schedules involved, and arrange for the scheduling of pickups.

Supervise the timely reporting of completed shipments.

Supervise the daily maintenance of systems stock location and manual overflow files.  Ensure current up-to-date information on the whereabouts and availability of all products.

Supervise the daily and scheduled periodic maintenance of material handling equipment.  Ensure that proper care of equipment is observed by all who operate that equipment this limiting costly downtime.

Supervise the investigation of inventory problems, product holds, mispicks, mixed, lost, damaged, etc.

Supervise the daily cycle count activities according to the established procedures and complete confirmation of cycle counts and any resulting adjustments

\rSkills and Experience\r
\t5 Years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
\tThis position requires written and verbal fluency in English. Working knowledge of Hubbell corporate mainframe systems, including but not limited to, SAP. 
\tKnowledge in Lean preferred.
\tAble to Analyze, plan and solve problems
\tAble to work with minimal supervision and execute sound independent judgement
\tAble to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
