Position DescriptionResponsible for the operation and maintenance of pipeline, compressors andrelated plant and field operations. The facilities consist of Totem and LatigoStorage fields and associated pipeline facilities. Perform operation andmaintenance tasks on reciprocating engine/compressor units and associatedancillary equipment. Ancillary equipment includes, motors, generators,cooling equipment, pumps, valves, seals, and associated pipeline facilities.Start, stop and operate engines to maintain designated operating parameters.Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all engines andassociated equipment.Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, and pipelineappurtenances.Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities andequipment, including pipeline right-of-way.Maintain, adjust, make minor repairs, and operate equipment (e.g.,wheeled tractors, pick-up trucks, water pumps, air compressors, coolers).Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.Assist with cash flow management, cost monitoring and control.Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site SpecificProcedures, PSM Operating Procedures, project scopes and work plans.Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures,regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.Conduct pipeline pigging activities.Assist personnel in performing technical and non-technical tasks including gasquality determinations, gas sampling, and measurement checks.Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel.Position RequirementsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:High School degree or equivalentJOB REQUIREMENTS:Achieve and maintain all OQ qualifications and progression requirementsapplicable to the job classification.Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, andcomplete work with a minimum of supervision.Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operatingsystems, and other company software).Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,fractions, decimals).Ability to work in a team environment, take direction from supervisors,keep required job schedules, focus on details, and follow work rules.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively work with customers, suppliers, other operationsgroups, engineering staff, and management.Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving recordsatisfactory to the company and its insurers.Overtime may be required and is anticipated.Must live within a 45 minute response/travel time to work locationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Physical ability to lift as much as 50lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climbstairs/ladders.Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simplegrasp and twisting motion included.Position Requirements:PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Detailed knowledge of compressor and transmission pipeline systems operations.Knowledge of operating costs and best practices associated with natural gaspipeline equipment.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases andliquids on high pressure systems.Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices, and regulatoryand tariff requirements.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against anyemployee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age,national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, statusas a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or localprotVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
