Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will have total technical, scheduling and manufacturing responsibility for assigned product line(s). Responsibilities are accomplished through the functional direction and coordination of manufacturing and administrative activities, typically carried out personally or through empowerment of team members, with a focus on systems and process improvement. Develops and makes recommendations for the short and long range objectives and prepares programs and plans for the attainment of approved objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for product suitability to meet market requirements, fulfillment of cost, quality, reliability and performance objectives to assure product lines meet tangible growth and profitability goals.

Selects, trains, develops, empowers and mentors team members.

Plans and coordinates manufacturing operations for maximum and most efficient utilization of facilities, equipment and personnel. This includes but is not limited to:

Scheduling shop floor

RFQ/PO reviews

Inventory Levels

Shipping & Receiving

Responsible for the appraisal of manufacturing methods and processes, and effects changes of improvement in accordance with authorizations.

Interacts with customer and suppliers to ensure performance objectives are met.

Responsible for maintaining the proper level of skills to effectively accomplish objectives

Works with other key departments within the company to develop an understanding of the needs of the customers and markets served.

Remains current on changes in company policies, procedures and product offerings in order to provide the highest level of service to customers.

Ensures daily/weekly/monthly production goals (safety, quality, schedule, and cost) are met.

Works with Senior Management in the establishment of forecasts, strategic positions and plans for markets, regions, specific customers and products.

Reviews new and existing products and or customers and coordinates the implementation process with other departments to ensure successful delivery

Interacts with customer and suppliers to ensure performance objectives are met.

Supervisory Responsibilities


Performs any other assigned duty as directed by General Manager.


B.S. in Engineering, Business or applicable degree

3-5 years’ experience of engineering or manufacturing leadership/management

Ability to empower team members and serve in a Servant Leadership capacity

Able to analyze and present numerical data.

Proactive problem solver, with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manager, working with relevant teams as required.

Experience of managing projects desirable.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers/suppliers

Finance knowledge/responsibility required

Operational planning experience

Creates and leads a safety culture, supporting and challenging colleagues to ensure safe working.

Must be proficient in using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience of Google Suite products is desirable.

Familiarity with business systems (ERP).
