Operations Director - Home Health - Chicago','18005204','!*!This position is accountable for the financial and operational integrity of Alegis Care management company’s operations departments and projects.  Alegis Care Operations Mangers will report directly to this position, while product lines may have medical managers that will have a matrix partnership with the Operations Manager.  Responsibilities include communicating, directing, planning, organizing, financial/operational monitoring and integrating group practice operations in order to facilitate the delivery of cost effective, high quality healthcare services in an ever-changing environment.  Actively drives and achieved results with matrix partners. Responsible and accountable for approximately 200 employees.  Preferred based in Chicago.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Ø  Ensure all accountable elements of the strategic plan are implemented within the Alegis Care’s departmental operations.  Ensures the direction of the management company operations departments are in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.  Verify all initiatives for change meet the strategic filter criteria ensuring alignment with strategic direction.

Ø  Responsible for developing and maintaining a business/management approach to track, monitor, communicate and achieve established goals/targets in the areas of: (a) employee satisfaction, (b) customer satisfaction, (c) quality, (d) compliance, and (e) financial results.

Ø  Contribute to the Company’s mission to provide an acceptable level of profitability, ensuring the operation of efficient Alegis Care product lines by merging business acumen with clinical expertise.

Ø  Accountability for Operational Expense Report (OPEX) performance and other financial/performance targets, reporting monthly variance explanations and associated action plans for corrective strategies in the agreed time line.

Ø  Provide effective leadership for all staff by establishing open communications, mentoring, and training guidance.

Ø  Assist with the development, compliance, and standardization of operational/financial/HR/clinical/quality policies and procedures.

Ø  Meet or exceed all State, Federal and regulatory requirements.

Ø  Facilitate calibration across regions during annual performance reviews.

Ø  Implement and support Alegis Care’s utilization and financial initiatives.

Ø  Demonstrate strong leadership skills to ensure the results achieve the defined goals.

Ø  Establish a strong team that is diverse and is understanding and appreciative of one another’s differences and contributions.

Ø  Ensure the operation’s structure is aligned with growth opportunities.

Ø  Enhance productivity through technology implementation

Ø  Assist staff in going through change processes stressing an innovative approach in creating a strong group practice.

Ø  Ensure safe work environments by assisting with physical planning and monitoring of new and existing structures.

Ø  Support the Operations Managers’ relationships with the medical administrative team as it pertains to their direct involvement with provider management.

Ø  Perform at or below target for voluntary attrition management company and professional corporation staff

 

 

Complexity and Scope

Ø  This position has broad operational accountability and responsibility for oversight of multiple product lines in multiple states.  The Operations Director interacts with varying levels of leadership within Alegis Care,  Cigna/HealthSpring and clients to ensure delivery of low cost and quality care through a positive patient care experience.','!*!Qualifications

Ø  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare, business, finance, or equivalent work experience, with 5 years of management experience

Ø  Experience in practice management and knowledge of the delivery of healthcare, with experience in managed care and/or Medicare Advantage preferred

Ø  Experience in outpatient clinical operations

Ø  Demonstrated proficiency in multi-site and multi-department management

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ø  Excellent leadership and quantitative analysis skills

Ø  Knowledge of regulatory and compliance healthcare requirements

Ø  Experience in managing change initiatives for health care teams

Ø  Strong process improvement skills and experience

Ø  Ability to develop strategies and plans to meet customer needs; develop provider relationships; manager and support values and vision

Ø  Strong interpersonal skills that enable internal and external clinician relationships

Ø  Demonstrated ability to define, measure, and promote evidence based clinical practice which supports patient engagement and quality care outcomes.

Ø  Ability to analyze financial and quality practice outcomes, and recommend solutions for deviations from metrics.

Ø  Proficiency in computer applications and working knowledge of Electronic Health Records
