Will have contact with Buyers, may also interact with Lenders, Title Companies, Appraisers, and other external contacts as well as daily interactions with Construction, Finance, Sales, Warranty, Purchasing Operations, Mortgage, and Design in order to facilitate closings, and contract and addendum executions.

May be asked to assist as required in tracking contracts and closings, applications, approvals, etc. or generate Starts with Purchasing, Operations and Sales

May assist with processing Purchase Agreements, Amendments and Exhibits correcting any errors, copy and distribute to Sales, Lender, Buyer and Title Company. Perform miscellaneous office duties as needed to assist in the office.

Track pre-start paperwork for Purchasing, Operations and Sales

A key responsibility of this position is the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the Design Center.

Will have frequent contact with other external contacts as well as daily interactions with Construction, Finance, Sales, Warranty, Purchasing Operations, Mortgage, and Design in order to facilitate starts, closings, and contract and addendum executions.

Notify Purchasing of complete option in order to scrub

Communicate with Sales personnel regarding incomplete, inaccurate contracts.

Create house files.

Oversee Custom Option Program

Process and price late options

Liaison between design center, sales, escrow, purchasing, and execution of option program and maintain margin levels on all options

Starts process for all homes released for building

Provide administrative support and serve as back-up in purchasing, construction, and customer service office administration duties

Composes routine correspondence, letters, and memos.

Provides support for Area Managers.

Special Projects as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of college preferred.

Knowledge/Technical Skills:

Some knowledge of the homebuilding and construction systems/processes is helpful.

Basic computer proficiency, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Interpersonal/Communication Skills:

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Able to simplify issues into concise explanations and communicate them to internal and external customers

Ability to explain complex issues in a manner easily understood by industry personnel and customers with limited knowledge of construction processes or terminology

Ability to work with contractors, laborers, employees at all levels, and customers with a high degree of professionalism

Good problem/conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence others and manage conflict in a positive mannerAbility to set priorities, and manage projects through all phases of completion

Judgment:

Sound judgment with the ability to make good decisions under time pressures and the ability to determine when to seek assistance or consult with more senior personnel

Accurate; with keen attention to detail while staying clearly focused on the big picture

Self-directed; takes initiative, proactively addresses problems; can work with minimal oversight

Mental Abilities:

Must be able to deal effectively with outside influences which bring frustration in making everyday business decisions.

Highly organized and flexible; with the ability to prioritize numerous details, define schedules, and meet deadlines, with frequently changing circumstances, in a high-volume fast-paced work environment
