The Business Process Risk Management Program (BPRM) within the Operational Resiliency domain of Wells Fargo’s Enterprise Finance & Information Technology Group was established to thoroughly understand Wells Fargo’s high-risk business processes across the enterprise, analyze existing controls (and strengthen where necessary) and provide ongoing oversight and governance to help assure executive stakeholders and regulatory agencies of best-in-class risk management. The primary role of the Operational Risk Consultant 4 position will be to help ensure ongoing business-group alignment with the BPRM program to better understand and manage their process risk as well as alignment of the BPRM program with Wells Fargo risk frameworks, target operating models and regulatory expectations by:

* Working with the different LOBs across the enterprise, providing guidance as they inventory, assess and map out their business processes; evaluating control design and effectiveness; and providing support should they have questions or difficulties associated with complying with the BPRM Policy or testing their processes

* Providing a unique blend of process and operational risk expertise

* Ensuring risk identification and reduction planning is integrated into daily business processes

* Providing improved insight into process risks for better decision-making

* Interacting with the Corporate Risk Testing & Validation Center of Excellence (which executes the testing and validation component of the BPRM methodology)

* Adding value through identification of control enhancements which simplify processes and reduce risk

* Comparing like-processes across different lines of business to facilitate leveraging best practices which reduce risk and increase efficiencies

* Collaborating with groups enterprise-wide on publication of policies and procedures to integrate BPRM methodology where appropriate

As part of BPRM Governance, this position will also be responsible for contributing to the development and enhancement of the BPRM methodology, policy and procedures, tools and training. The ORC4 position will report to the manager of the BPRM Governance team.

*The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties, including:*

* Supporting business groups in applying the BPRM methods and tools to identify, assess and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events, while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency.

* Applying independent credible challenge and oversight.

* Providing risk and control expertise, building relationships, being a good listener, being knowledgeable about the specific business, and communicating openly, honestly and directly.

* Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of BPRM policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; analyzes business and/or system changes to determine impact, and identifies enhancements to methodologies or internal processes as necessary.

* Consulting with process owners and operational risk partners in the business as they develop remediation plans and effectively manages change.

* Identifying training opportunities and designing/coordinating the development of training materials, delivering or coordinating training delivery.

* Understanding, partnering with, and managing the dependencies of related enterprise initiatives.

*A Successful Candidate will b*e:

* Collaborative – coordinating with BPRM teammates and partnering with lines of business on the identification of risks and controls within their business

* Knowledgeable – applying blended skillsets which leverage process and operational risk expertise.

* Analytical – bringing data to the table, enabling views into control environments, risk scores, and maps enabling and driving fact-based business discussions.

* Results-oriented – recognized track record of successfully delivering on high-stakes projects (i.e., regulatory or strategic business initiatives, top-of-the-house visibility and no flexibility on due dates).

* Full time, Monday through Friday position (8am-5pm). The position will be based at any corporate Wells Fargo Corporate location including: Phoenix, Charlotte, or Minneapolis. Some travel may be required (up to 10%).*

Required Qualifications:

* 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

* Experience writing and editing internal communications and training-related materials in a corporate environment or financial institution

* Experience identifying tasks required of a learner and prioritizing those tasks for training design and development

* Experience facilitating and delivering training or other related facilitation experience such as group meetings or presentations

* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
