Develops Nuclear Plant Operating procedures required to assure the safe operations of the nuclear power plant. Uses a variety of electronic vehicles to produce procedures. Ensures procedures are consistent with regulatory and site requirements. Key Accountabilities:

-Researches source data such as Nuclear regulations, ANSI standards, UFSAR, Federal Registers, Regulatory guides, Technical Specifications and other procedures. Applies gathered information to new and revised procedures. -Develops new plant operating procedures to support the implementation of plant modifications. -Designs and develops forms. Draws, scans, places, and edits sketches, diagrams, and other site specific graphics into procedures. -Implements procedure changes for plant operations which involve validation against design basis documents, NRC license basis documents, the offsite dose calculation manual and state regulations -Participates in benchmarking and self-assessments of the key procedure processes on a periodic basis. -Assists in the management of critical consumables such as Emergency Diesel Generators, Diesel Fire Pumps, and Auxiliary Boilers. -Performs miscellaneous staff assignments as requested. Provides cross-functional writing support as needed. ','!*!-5 years of nuclear power plant experience within Operations, Maintenance, Engineering or Operations Training. Nuclear Navy experience will be evaluated for equivalency.

Must meet one of the following criteria:

-Currently or previously qualified Nuclear Operator; OR -Currently holds or has previously held a RO or SRO License; OR -Currently holds or has previously held a SRO Certification

-Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels, communicating effectively both orally and in writing -Computer Skills: Word processing, scanning, spreadsheet and graphics editing software. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen -Must participate as an Emergency Response Organization ERO member and responds to call-ins as appropriate Incumbents may engage in all or some combination of the activities and accountabilities.
