North America Traits & Systems Marketing Communications Manager','01N9E','!*!The North America (NA) Traits & Systems Marketing Communications Manager will create demand and increase the brand equity of Monsanto’s trait portfolio and integrated systems solutions. This individual is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the overall marketing communication plan, strategies and accompanying tactics to create demand with customers across the United States, Canada and Latin America North (LAN). This individual will work closely with product management, technical development, agronomy, market insights, legal, marketing, sales, distribution, licensees and external suppliers/agencies to develop and activate plans. The NA Traits & Systems Marketing Communication Manager position is based at Monsanto's World Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, and reports to the NA Marketing Communications Lead with a dotted line to the NA Traits & Systems Lead. Responsibilities:• Lead development and execution of marketing communications plans for Monsanto trait portfolio and system solutions across US, Canada and LAN.• Serve as an active participant on the NA Traits & Systems Marketing team.• Facilitate cross-brand activities to further the systems approach.• Collaborate with product management and launch leads in research, naming and launch plan development for new products.• Create business partnership with key agency contacts. Direct agencies to provide strategic marketing communication tactics, creative executions, sales support materials and media plans, as required.• Effectively collect and analyze market intelligence and market research to assess market trends, track competitors and understand current/future customer needs. Utilize these insights to improve current and future marketing communications plans.• Establish clear metrics, and analyze and share results with key leadership and stakeholders.• Elevate our contextual marketing expertise to be more effective in our advertising planning across the brands. Develop plans to improve media mix effectiveness (use of traditional and digital).• Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to solidify trade show and event strategies and executions for traits and systems brands.• Lead proactive public relations efforts along with public affairs, industry affairs, seed brand businesses and advertising agencies.• Collaborate with sales organization and other functions to effectively develop and activate the marketing plan including development of sales tools and training.• Manage overall AP&M resourcing allocation, prioritizing and tracking budgets to maximize return on investment and stay within budget.• Manage and provide leadership for Associate Brand Communications Manager.','!*!Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field, MBA preferred.• Minimum 5 years of business experience in relatable sales, marketing and/or communications roles.• Experience in managing end-to-end marketing plans (strategy through tactics). Demonstrated mastery of brand positioning, customer insight and business plan development, competitive assessment and brand portfolio management.• Track record that demonstrates ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Ability to lead and influence others without direct reporting relationships.• Outstanding project management skills (planning the work and working the plan to ensure deadlines are met). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.• Proficiency to build measurement system to track plan effectiveness and facilitate plan adjustments as needed• Results orientation: works with a sense of urgency, identifies and overcomes obstacles, takes necessary risks.• Sets high personal standards of performance. Balances day-to-day activities with strategic imperatives.• Problem solving and decisiveness: Makes sound, timely decisions applying relevant information and insights considering multiple factors before identifying solutions.
