Summary

Will drive constant improvement of the SOX testing and performance of our testers by overseeing the process of the SOX program by assuring proper implementation and adherence to policy at each location through Local SOX Coordinators.

Essential Functions

Support the Internal Controls and testing of the SOX programs at the NASC locations. Will have the lead in all areas of SOX, Audits of SOX controls, SOD, Risk Assessment, and other duties as assigned.

Lead SOX Coordinators will benchmark Local SOX Coordinators' processes and strategies to comply with all PCC SOX requirements.

Will be the lead in any discussions with Division or the PCC SOX team providing similarity of action/procedures at each location.

Will conduct training at all 3 locations. Local SOX Coordinators will be involved, but training at all locations will be done using the same training material and will be led by the Lead SOX Coordinator.

Will review all Remediation Plans before submitting into Archer.

Will track and document all PIR and PIO’s to ensure all are remediated as per the accepted remediation plan.

Will oversee the direction of Local SOX Coordinators in order to benchmark all testing, remediation of audit findings, training, etc.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage the PCC SOX compliance program for Timet Toronto and the NASC locations of Wentzville and East Windsor.

Manage the local Sox coordinators and process owners to provide guidance around compliance and implementation of controls per PCC Policy

Responsible for monitoring and testing of internal controls, identifying the impact of potential issues, recommend remediation activities to management, and evaluate and conclude on control assessments

Build a partnership with the finance and operations team to ensure proper SOX documentation and compliance

Build relationships with IT and other departments to understand and assess the impact of new systems and changes to existing processes and systems

Work closely with the business to assess the impact of process changes on the control environment, identify risk areas, and implement appropriate changes to the overall SOX compliance program

Identify process improvement opportunities, communicate best practices at a high level and develop programs to strengthen internal control and compliance environment

Manage the communication with internal and external auditors on all SOX audits

Assign and train testers across the Timet locations stated above. Create training program in conjunction with the PCC Corporate SOX team.

Communicate directly with PCC Corporate SOX on all audits, issues, remediation plans and implementation of new controls

Manage the testing calendar and coordinate testers, reviewers and approvers for all tests at all locations

Manage annual SOD compliance across the Timet locations stated above

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.

CPA or MBA preferred

Special Skills

Knowledge and understanding of fundamental cost accounting principles.

Knowledge of the mill operating environment and associated process flows.

Understanding of the SAP structure and related transaction and reporting capabilities.

Microsoft Office software experience with particular Excel strengths.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work independently, or in a group setting, on assigned projects.

Ability to analyze problems and present resolutions.
