Network/Telecomm Technician (Secret) Fayetteville, NC
CACI is looking for a Network Telecommunications Technician to provide Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM) support to our team in Fayetteville, NC.
Serves as primary technician for satellite deployable nodes which service over 2000 different varieties of SOFTACS family of systems.
Provides installation, operation and maintenance training and troubleshooting to personnel.
On the Job Training, and equipment upgrade of systems.
Generate and maintain work orders, shipping, return equipment requiring maintenance utilizing the COLTS database program.
Conducts bench testing of all components and applies appropriate equipment maintenance to identify system status before shipment and storage.
Assists in research and development efforts, as requested, and modification of new and existing systems.
Provide daily, reports depicting support provided to our customers.
Responsible for participating in promoting, improving, maintaining, and supporting all telecommunications services and systems.
Assists in the designs of networks or portions of networks that include selection of hardware and software packages.
Assists in voice network reconfiguration and billing reconciliation's.
Helps to ensure that all software including network control programs satisfy the communications needs covering both the hardware and software installed.
Develops or assists in the development of standards for carrier service and equipment.
Prepares or ensures that appropriate telecommunication documentation exists, including operational instructions.
Serves as a liaison to users, departments and vendors by providing the assistance on all aspects of telecommunications services and systems used throughout the organization.
Assists in all service / system upgrades while being a team player involving telecommunications and networking projects.
Performs or assists in the analysis in determining business process improvements utilizing the telecommunication systems.
Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues.
May research available and emerging voice, data and video communication technologies to recommend future implementations.
Uses knowledge of current systems to promote beneficial capabilities and leverage use of the system's features.
Install and test communication equipment.
Background and Experience:
High school degree or GED
Six (6) years of hands-on experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
Knowledge of COMSEC devices, Very Small Aperture Satellite Systems, Broadband Global Area Networks (BGAN), International Maritime Satellite (INMARSAT) networks, and Local Area Network and Wide Area Networks (LAN/ WAN).
Specialized experience in the design, development, testing, analysis, operation or maintenance of Joint Warfighter Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems Deployable Node-Lite.
Candidates must be able to pass CRC for potential deployments.
Able to deploy to hazardous duty locations with short notice for extended periods of time.
Current Passport on hand and able to obtain and hold a company credit card
Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR Systems.
The ability to Configure Cisco routers and switches.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with DISA and Special Operations Satellite Networks
