We are thriving \u2013 growing by nearly 100% in the last two years \u2013 and need your talent and motivation to help continue propelling us farther, faster.\u201d Jacobs is currently seeking a Network Engineer with an Active TS SCI with Polygraph clearance to join their team in their Columbia, MD office. \u2022 Support the design, implementation and operation of next generation of communications solutions, custom client networks, general network infrastructure and data transport solutions.\u2022 Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the virtualized network enclave. \u2022 Management and deployment of network security requirements (hardening, policy, access control, intrusion detection, etc.). \u2022 Capable of executing system and client requirements in a highly flexible, hands-on implementation environment. Qualifications Must have Active TS SCI with Polygraph clearance. BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years to eight (8) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications. 5 years\u2019 experience in telecommunications and networking. 5 progressive years of experience in advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems relating to routing, switching, firewall and intrusion prevention systems based on Cisco\u2019s product platforms. 3 years\u2019 experience working with Government customers regarding Network and System Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. 3 years\u2019 experience analyzing user\u2019s requirements and high level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications. 3 years\u2019 experience guiding customers in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. The ability to incorporates new network plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. 3 years\u2019 experience developing network architecture and network design documentation. 3 years\u2019 experience developing engineering management plans for network integration and test plans. Manages the transition and migration of networks and development of network addressing schemes. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Must be willing to travel through CONUS and OCONUS at least 10% throughout a calendar year. Desired: CCNA Certification Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC\/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
