\rPosition Overview\rEngage in strategic analysis, planning and implementation at the National level to ensure that corporate Sales & Marketing goals and objectives relative to the electric utility market are achieved. Develop and maintain a thorough economic and technological knowledge of the Utility Market. Determine what approaches and methods to be utilized in order to profitably create demand & increase sales penetration in this market.
\rDuties and Responsibilities\r
\tResponsible for achievement of national sales quota for the Utility division.
\tResponsible for managing & developing the Utility Sales Teams
\tResponsible for the Utility Sales & Operational budgets.
\tProvide the Utility Sales Representatives strategic direction relative to:
\tConduct annual performance reviews with the Utility Sales Reps.
\tWork closely with the PLBT Leaders and Utility Business Dev Team to:
\t\tDevelop new product suggestions.
\t\tProvide customer contact and beta test site support
\t\tParticipate in the publication of printed and electronic sales media.
\t\tDevelop new product introduction packages.
\t\tDevelop utility sales and product training for new hires.
\tWork Closely with HPS to leverage strengths of one Hubbell
\t\tContinue the efforts of working together with HPS in certain areas and markets
\t\tBecome the single point of contact for HPS regarding our collaborative efforts to maximize our effectiveness thru sharing resources in certain markets and territories.
\tConduct and maintain Utility market analysis at the national level to determine:
\t\tCompetitive threats and opportunities
\tMaintain high-level key customer contacts at IOU’s, line contractors, consultants, and distributors. The National Utility Sales Manager be responsible for being the single point of Contact for Anixter, Wesco, and Irby Utility Market Contacts.
\tAssist the advertising department in the selection of trade shows that allow for maximum market exposure at reasonable costs. Review trade publications, ads, product literature and displays. Make recommendations for improvement, while working within the assigned budgets.
\tMonitor sales activity with all national chain distributors and marketing groups who are engaged in the Utility market. This includes the successful implementation of any sales promotions. This also applies to achieving top performance recognition with the marketing groups.
\tSchedule productive meetings and attend utility related industry conferences.
\tPerform other assigned duties as required
\tBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or four to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\tUtility industry experience
\tWritten and verbal communications skills
\tMust have appropriate Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills
