**Job Summary**

_The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented National Client Account Manager (CAM) for immediate employment based in Philadelphia or other East Coast office locations. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation industry and have a successful track record of relationship management, business development and client service. The position will report to the Americas Transit Market Sector Leader and will work across a matrix organization, with local transportation and operations staff, regional leadership, and national transportation business line executives to position AECOM for new work with Amtrak, a national client of strategic importance in our growing transportation practice._

_The CAM will have broad knowledge of Amtrak services and requirements with solid communication skills_ and analytical abilities to shape how AECOM can best support. The successful candidate will use their client relationship skills to provide AECOM-caliber client service. In addition, they will continually monitor and anticipate the business needs of this key client and smartly offer technical and professional services that can help them grow their business. A sharp f _ocus on expanding the overall transportation practice in the areas of planning, design and construction management services will require cross over and collaboration between the transportation and environmental business lines._

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

Grow our Amtrak account nationally and sell the full project life cycle of services that AECOM offers

Assist with business development activities including pursuit initiation and management, teaming, proposal development and general marketing support

Maintain situational awareness across the transit industry in order to ensure a strategic point of view on major proposal efforts, and report periodically to management on national Amtrak Account performance against established goals/ performance metrics

Serve as a liaison with Amtrak regarding new projects/programs while verifying and ensuring that the client needs are met or exceeded

Monitor Amtrak performance ratings, engaging with the client and AECOM operations to ensure performance excellence

Develop forward thinking strategies, data-driven sales analyses, client account plans, and recommendations that align with Amtrak goals

Coach and develop junior members of the account management team

**Minimum Requirements**

Bachelor's Degree with 15 years of relevant business development and client relationship management experience in the transit and rail sector

Demonstrated success performing in a large matrixed organization

Exceptional relationship building/relationship management skills to establish rapport, trust and confidence with account teams

Amtrak Client service experience and/or industry experience with Amtrak

Excellent written and oral communications skills and interpersonal skills

Project management experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management; self-starter

Detail oriented and the ability to adapt to changing environment

Energetic, enthusiastic and organized

Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**

Strong understanding of the life-cycle of the-proposal process

Broad knowledge of the transportation industry and potential competitors/ team partners to AECOM

Demonstrated track record in developing successful business initiatives and influencing participation outside of your direct line management authority

Currency and breadth of Amtrak points of contact and an experienced understanding of the client organization

Maintain visibility and active participation in professional organizations, like APTA and AREMA among others

Represent AECOM on current and future Joint Venture boards related to Amtrak contracts
