Veritiv Logistics Solutions (VLS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing startup within Veritiv, a Fortune 500 Company. VLS was recently recognized by Inbound Logistics as a Top 100 3PL for the first time and our growth is accelerating rapidly. VLS is able to leverage the assets, resources and technology of Veritiv to provide third party warehousing, brokered freight and managed freight services.
This position is a leadership role, supporting the Transportation Brokerage within Veritiv. The purpose of the role is to lead and develop teams of Account Managers to grow a book of 3PL customers with total revenue exceeding $10M annually.
Responsible for training of all new TSR Account Managers assigned to Pod
Responsible for hiring new Account Managers and approving any overtime.
Manage all spot pricing for customers (market pricing expertise)
Make daily buy/sell decisions on load coverage
Accompany Account Managers on both conference calls and face-to-face meetings with customers
Responsibility for billing all 3PL accounts within POD
Ensure regular and productive meetings to improve department performance. Make recommendations for and implement improvements in effectiveness of VLS operations.
Implement company policies and procedures according to company guidelines for assigned areas of responsibility.
Proficient in company technology tools, model and operating system
May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.
Bachelors degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
1 -2 years account management experience required
Proven Leadership Experience
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Intermediate Excel and data analytics
Self-starter, goal driven attitude and work ethic
