Specific responsibilities include overseeing the recordkeeping of insurance coverage, 401k plan, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations; preparing reports such as turnover percentages, affirmative action reports, and personnel activity reports; monitoring adherence to EEO and ADA employment/labor laws; developing curriculum and conducting training for supervisorsand crew relating to Team Member relations and employment policies; monitoring all disciplinary actions taken to ensure they are consistent and fair; attending and participating in community functions as a Tyson representative; working with attorneys in all plant related legal activities, and performing other responsibilities as they arise. Safety responsibilities will include training, reporting, and compliance requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3 years HR experience. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; for example, generating simple letters, spreadsheets, and creating simple queries. Experience with SAP and HRS preferred. Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising HR clerical staff as well as the training department staff.
