As a key area in the project delivery lifecycle, the Business Testing group partners across\u00a0Merchant Services\u00a0business units to define strategies and approaches for QA & User Acceptance Testing activities, as well as setting and stewarding sound quality assurance methodologies.\u00a0\u00a0As a Business Testing Manager Sr. you will be responsible for directing and managing all test planning and execution activities throughout the project delivery lifecycle across the JPMorgan Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) organization with focus on Merchant Services.\u00a0\u00a0This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual, cross organizational team without formal direction, and who has senior level interpersonal skills such as influence management, negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills. You will manage projects from requirements through post implementation, working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This will include coordinating resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects, monitoring project progress (risks & issues), test planning, test data preparation, test execution,defect management, preparing and presenting progress reports for management, collecting, documenting and archiving all required testing artifacts.\u00a0\u00a0

Direct one or more large projects, multiple mid to large project or other process improvement initiatives through the entire Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) using standard project processes and tools

Define and drive program/project test strategy for alignment and execution by the test teams

Lead all aspects of Merchant Services readiness for Business and IT systems implementations, ensuring the delivery of a quality program/project

Direct all UAT test activities, monitor progress, track project plan, issues, risks, and set testing priorities

Escalate project issue and risks appropriately, and drive them to resolution

Partner with key IT and business parties to ensure effective use of methodologies and communicate test strategies, test results and performance through testing teams

Partner with Technology and Product to define approach for build phase and/or scripts; maintain master plan and dates for the build phase from start of build to completion

Ensure that problems are properly documented and that defects are addressed, minimizing defect deferrals

Communicate with senior management to understand needs, communicate status, and resolve conflict

Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes; manage quality improvement activities

Identify, create, execute critical business End-to-End processes

Establish, maintain and manage strategic business and IT relationships

Drive root cause analysis for business testing gaps and implement solutions to prevent recurrence

Identify and document industry best practices and drives adoption within the business test teams

Develop and deliver standard and ad hoc reports and presentations for management and stakeholders

May manage a team of UAT managers / leads / analysts in a direct or matrix environment

Manage the creation of both Manual and Automation testing

Manage project communications & status reporting (e.g. project performance metrics/KPIs)

Proactively identify obstacles and collaborate with team to identify options/solutions

Collect and store all required compliance artifacts for the project across the project life cycle

Bachelors degree in Business or related field and/or experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Program or Project Management capacity in IT or Business environment; Consumer banking/credit card experience is preferred, but not required.

Working knowledge of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) IT and its supporting Lines of Businesses strongly preferred

Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies

Demonstrated experience in leading cross-line of business projects and initiatives

Extensive experience establishing and managing program/project test strategies and key milestones

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence change and communicate with diverse stakeholders

Excellent relationship and communication skills, highly collaborative - can build rapport and credibility

Proficient creating senior management presentations using MS PowerPoint

A demonstrated bias for action, creative problem-solving, and achieving fulfillment by \creating order out of chaos\

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective meeting facilitation and presentation skills

Experience managing resources that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse.

Intermediate to advanced project management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office application suite and familiarity with Microsoft Project is required

Exceptional project and process management skills

Demonstrated Direct people management experience of exempt-level population, including coaching & development, prioritization, managing capacity, and giving feedback

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, strategic client relationships at the Executive Level

High degree of initiative and autonomy but must be able to function successfully as part of a team (in person and virtual)

Honed consulting, influence, and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes

Innovative and creative thinker; able to generate new ideas; forward-thinker; thought-leader

Ability to resolve conflict & facilitate decision-making

Flexible, process-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills
