The MPS (Master Production Scheduler) is responsible for driving the operational strategy and efficient processes that supports the needs of the Sales Organizations and our Clients through supply and demands around the Operations Execution process areas (capacity planning, scheduling, and expediting teams). By working internally with our sales teams and internal operations leaders, the MPS will leverage our external business partners and other support teammates to drive improvements to business processes.
The MPS is the strategic visionary and the leader for the Operations Executions process functions. The incumbent will provide guidance and counsel to the Sr Manager of Ops Execution & VP Operations and his/her leadership teams on all matters related to Scheduling and facility OTD (on time delivery) The MPS must be versed at creating direction for the organization, driving alignment, and organizing the scheduling function to deliver the communication and demand alignment needs of the business. In addition, he/she must be forward-thinking, innovative, and lead the organization to cutting-edge solutions to support the delivery of strategic warehouse services across the enterprise. .
The MPS also manages our client experiences to gather new requirements and to remediate areas needing improvement. This role will require support in the creation/implementation of a work order process though SAP, capacity planning/forecasting system and full SOP for scheduling team inclusive of designing a scheduling system. True objective is to understand organizations OTD and communicate clearly and effectively to internal clients.
The MPS works to help set the vision for their team and as such drives the KPI attainment, resource allocation, and metrics to be tracked. The team is comprised of groups that assist with post-order support such as procurement, Client and Vendor EDI, lab, QC, Client Services, Web Services and Sales Operations.

*Always focused on the client experience and manages process area with that as the main driver *Build and maintain management level relationships within Insight, its customers and our partners when necessary. *Will need to build OTD measurements a crossed of responsible operations *Will need to assist is structure/design of our scheduling system inclusive of getting real time reporting *Assist in the creation of sales forecasting system and launch capacity planning for all operations at Chicago facilities *Develop and Mentor direct reports through communication, training and strong leadership *Utilized continuous improvement to drive transactional efficiencies while promoting a C.I. culture throughout team *Works to measure cost of process and drive waste down through process and automation *Create the strategic business plan to automate real time reporting *Assist with the management of projects for new customers and existing customers *Create process for team to work with the Purchasing Department to coordinate incoming materials to fit scheduling needs *Work closely with the sales to ensure customer needs/demands are met with established lead times *Analyze work center loads for effective capacity planning *Create expediting offering *Assume active role in daily production meetings as a leader, works to drive a culture of trust and heathy challenge to drive better engagement and process *Develop Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the performance and determine SLA's of the scheduling team *Align with other functions on large scale projects to support the growth of the business *Set performance expectations for his/her team to drive to sustainable and predictable business results *Inspire the team through modeling our cultural imperatives *Possess both the business acumen and courage to make difficult and unpopular decisions and recommendations *Be versed at providing focused feedback and leading large-scale projects that have significant impact on the company *Participate in sales and sales operations leadership meetings and share operational updates and action plans *Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance and other support organizations to implement changes to tools, policies and procedures *Lead communication for key updates at end of month and end of quarter (e.g., Backlog and client care) *Recruit, hire and develop management team and other direct reports *Escalate and resolve client and sales issues *Ensure operational standards and compliances meet audit requirements *Set annual budgets and manage expenses accordingly *Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.S. and B.A.) from a four-year college or combination of education and experience required; Education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Customer Service or Management strongly considered. Experience in the information technology industry in sales, supply chain or customer service a plus.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in business leadership, with a focus on strategy development and implementation within a fast paces organization, some manufacturing planning experience a must

Must also be able to be a champion for and manage significant change initiatives and possess the aptitude to understand and process complex situations and data *Effective leadership skills with the ability to provide overall team vision and direction *Polished professional who is comfortable with interaction with all levels of internal and external contacts *Expert level in excel
