CBRE Affordable Housing is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Specialist to support the brand of the largest affordable housing real estate team in the country. This role will develop internal and external marketing and communication pieces, including campaign content, research reports, newsletters, social media, and business development/sales collateral. The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, a great eye for graphic design, a collaborative work style, and the ability to lead a project home.

CBRE Affordable Housing is a specialty group within CBRE Group, Inc. that combines investment sales, debt and structured finance, and investment banking into a fully integrated service offering for clients in the affordable housing industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates a wide variety of templated, company-sanctioned marketing materials that may include business development collateral, advertisements, research reports and executive summary brochures for in-house and external use using advanced desktop and graphic software.

Reviews internal and external collateral materials, proofreads content, ensures appropriate branding and approves materials for final distribution.

Prepares collateral for business development providing recommendations with a focus on ensuring that all materials meet established standards as to branding and messaging. Will think outside the box on which messages will be most impactful to various client segments.

Assists in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and performs research and analysis to support those strategies.

Supports all lines of Affordable Housing business (investment sales, debt & structured finance, and investment banking) in preparing various marketing materials as needed on an ad hoc basis. Work collaboratively across departments to create impactful marketing collateral.

Maintains and updates marketing library of standard company boilerplate proposals, presentations, and other collateral materials.

Provides marketing education and training on tools, resources, as well as technical assistance to staff.

Provides quality control for mass e-mail broadcasts, ensuring that appropriate branding, content, and formatting are used.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training.

None.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires no knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

A minimum of intermediate skills with Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn web and email publishing platforms.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
