In this role, you develop and implement Google’s marketing research vision. This research will inform future marketing strategy and help businesses to make the most of the web. You understand consumers, have analytical horsepower and business judgment and define and prioritize research projects that illustrate and support the impact of advertising and media. You have experience drafting surveys, constructing marketing tests and driving the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative studies. You support research stakeholders from sales, marketing and product teams, as well as manage relationships with external research agencies.

Grow with Google (GwG) is Google’s initiative to help create economic opportunity for people in the US. The initiative’s goals are to help Americans prepare for jobs through local education initiatives, find jobs through Google search, and grow small businesses through several product and community programs.

As a Marketing Research and Insights Manager, you will lead program impact and effectiveness measurement efforts, working as part of Brand and Consumer Insights. You'll work with the GwG team to define and measure output and impact metrics, and will oversee the analysis and packaging of resulting findings and recommendations. Your responsibilities will include communicating these insights with GwG program teams, as well as with stakeholders in Marketing, PR/Comms, and Policy.

You will be responsible for overseeing all GwG impact and effectiveness measurement, as well as to develop, package, and report/present insights. You will also partner closely with GwG program teams, as well as regularly interfacing with a ranger of stakeholders, including Marketing leadership. In addition to reporting on results of measurement tracking, you'll be in a position to assess effectiveness and provide strategic guidance to key stakeholders.

Oversee complex measurement and analysis programs, incorporating inputs from a range of geographies and audiences.

Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority; liaise with Program teams.

Oversee insights reporting, including: generation of reporting templates; applying expertise and perspective to develop not just analysis, but directional insight; packaging and communicating findings and recommendations in a compelling way, including to senior/executive stakeholders.

Oversee qualitative and quantitative market research efforts to augment insight/understanding and package impact reporting for external publication.

Work with others to design systems and tools, to collect and automate the reporting of reach metrics across programs.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience leading market research studies.

3 years of experience defining program success metrics and creating measurement solutions to reliably gather and report metrics.

Experience working with productivity suites.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree.

Experience designing and leading longitudinal education or training program evaluation research.

Familiarity with Data Studio, PLX, and other Google data analytics and visualization tools.

Team player, with demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
