The Marketing Program Manager (MPM) plans, designs and executes all marketing activities for the assigned segment programs (Food, Environmental, Forensics) and Gas Chromatography, Gas Chromatography/Mass Spec (GC, GC/MS) instrument product lines for the Americas Field Organization (AFO) focusing on the North American geography.

In this position you will have the opportunity to execute the GC, and GC-MS marketing strategy and design the regional marketing programs with a focus on North America programs. You will develop the business case to select the appropriate program tactics within the region and report the success of your programs to the AFO & global organization. Together with the global MPM team, the regional Marcom team & WW product management, you govern all outbound aspects of AFO new product launches and manage the GC, GC/MS portfolio-mix though the entire product life-cycle including up- and cross-sell opportunities with other businesses.

On the business development side you own the overall market sensing for the assigned GC, GC/MS market segments within AFO. The MPM also develops and shares business intelligence & insight to drive sales channel behavior & Funnel in close collaboration with AFO sales management.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop marketing strategy, program, and campaigns to drive demand, increase market share, and drive growth in GC, GCMS, and applied markets for AFO with a focus on Nth. America.

- Measures and evaluates impacts of owned marketing programs. Implements corrective actions to ensure delivery of targeted results & objectives.

- Works closely with the AFO Marcom team and other members of the WW Marcom team to execute programs and track assigned spend.

- Works closely with the AFO Marcom team to develop program metrics & effective tactics mix. Collaborate for all CRM related aspects of sales & marketing integration.

- Works closely with the LAR & Brazil organizations for sharing marketing programs & assisting them to drive their own segment, and GC, GC/MS marketing.

- Works with the GC, GC/MS Sales channels to monitor & analyze competitive information and customer data to facilitate effective program development and drive activities to drive higher volume and quality of funnel.

- Serves as single point of contact for the AFO sales channels for WW Business Unit requests and reciprocally provides the field perspective to the WW Business Unit.

- Coordinates with WW business unit managers for ongoing product management over promotion and placement changes.

- Helps define channel training requirements linked to program execution.

- The AFO GC, GC/MS and applied markets MPM reports to the AFO Marketing Manager.

Qualifications:

- University education in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology or comparable; Ph.D. preferable or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Intimate knowledge of GC, GC/MS markets, products & sales channels.

- 7 years related experience in a field sales and/or field marketing environment.

- Demonstrated skills in teamwork, results-orientation and strong persistence to reach goals.

- Ability to work across a global organization with international business experience.

- Excellent communication skills (written/oral). Ability to collaborate equally effective throughout all hierarchical levels

- Willingness for travel for ~ 50% of the time.

- Ability to deal with high pressure, visibility and workload; Willingness to prioritize tasks and take quick decisions.

- Based in/near an Agilent Office and close to a hub-airport is advantageous.
