Overview
Waters Corporation is currently seeking an Overnight Shift Manufacturing  Supervisor to join our organization.  In this role, the individual will join our Global Machining Operations here in our Milford MA Headquarters.  Specifically, the individual will be responsible for management oversight of a fast paced, high technology Machining Center comprised of CNC Lathes, Milling centers, EDM machines. 
  
The individual in this role is will be responsible for supervision and support of our overnight manufacturing personnel through direct interface with team leaders from each manufacturing area. This is inclusive of production issues, equipment issues, plant emergency response and personnel related issues. Typical overnight staff size is approximately 40 people. 
  
In addition this role requires responsibility of keeping the operations aligned with the overall organization, both tactically and strategically.  This role requires continued implementation of our Lean Manufacturing system, Inclusive of Lean Management, metrics development and daily review with the team. 
  
This position is a 3 nights per week workshift with hours from 9:00 pm to 9:30 am Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night. The staggered start time is designed to allow daily interface with individual department supervisors and Plant Manager regarding previous night performance and further development of communications and goals. 
 
Responsibilities

Direct support of all operating production environments 
Assuring Daily targets and KPI\u2019s are met 
Support and oversight of all personnel 
Direct involvement in individuals performance measures and reviews 
Daily interface with department supervisors and plant management 
Daily communications of tactical objectives, performance and underlying strategies to production personnel 
Lead training programs and coaching for personnel 
Responsible for plant emergency response, safety of plant personnel and equipment

Qualifications

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED 
Previous supervisory experience in a fast paced machining/manufacturing environment is required 
Proven ability to lead teams and managing through influence 
Strong conflict management skills 
Strong technical background in mechanical and or manufacturing disciplines 
Previous Lean Manufacturing Experience is desired 
Strong interpersonal communications skills (oral & written)
