The Manufacturing Line Manager (Line Lead) provides safety and servant-based leadership to achieve breakthrough production results on a specific production line/system. This position is also accountable for developing and delivering the weekly, monthly and 90 day plans to deliver the glidepath through rigorous application of Foundational systems and Driving System Utilization. The Line Manager is accountable for driving out losses using rigorous Daily Direction Setting and developing the plan for the day. They will have ownership of Safety, Quality, System Utilization (SU), Actual vs. Commit (AVC) and Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL) systems and Planned Stops.
The Line Manager owns ensuring the development of the operating teams\u2019 technical capability. A majority of a Line Manager's day will be spent on the floor with the operating teams building the capability of the people in their area. This position provides daily direction and coaching to the Process Lead and Maintenance Lead to deliver breakthrough results and is ultimately accountable for the results of the line/system. The Line Manager will build capability in the Process Lead and Maintenance Lead roles and must be able to cover their responsibilities in their short term absence.

System Owner - single point accountability for the line/system results
Owns human and food safety for the line/system and action plans for improvement
Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to line team members
Builds capability in technicians, in order to identify, measure and drive out losses on their equipment
Support of the developmental plan for the Line Team
Owns identifying training gaps for the technicians on the system, as well as developing and ensuring execution of training plan to address these gaps
Owns Daily Direction Setting (DDS) process including:

Leads daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly \u2013 including  Recognition of team members
Lead the development and execution of Plan for the Day \u2013 including development and handoff of plan for off shifts
Health of CIL system
Implementation and evolution of Planned Stops

Single point of ownership of the 90-day improvement plan to deliver the glidepath
Facilitates development of the line/system 90-day plans to address losses and build capability
Owns delivery of line targeted results (including financials)


3-5 years of relevant manufacturing and leadership experience
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Technical) strongly preferred
Working knowledge of data systems including MAXIMO, MQIS, and INSQL
Previous experience in Process Lead and/or Maintenance Lead role
Demonstrated capability in application of Foundational Systems and Driving System Utilization
Demonstrated basic technical capability on at least one manufacturing platform
