Description: Lockheed Martin Pike County Operations in Troy, Alabama is seeking an Industrial Engineer responsible for:

Conducting classical Industrial Engineering activities such as time and motion studies, facility and workstation design, and process improvement activities

Performing work measurements and time standards, productivity and performance management, capacity resource analysis, simulation modeling, cost analysis and estimating.

Supporting one or more Performance Management Team (PMT) through metric analysis and process improvement identification/implementation

Driving continuous improvement and capturing cost savings.

This position requires a candidate that (1) is customer-focused, (2) has excellent oral and written communication skills, (3) has demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, (4) is able to work effectively with a team and all levels of management, (5) is a self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with work experience or Master’s degree specializing in Industrial Engineering or related fields

Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Candidate must also be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

Understanding of classical Industrial Engineering tools / techniques and application of these tools/techniques.

Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt training / certification.

Relevant work experience in a technical / manufacturing or production environment.

Experience generating / implementing process improvements.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Production simulation tool experience.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas/solutions to all levels of management.
