Position Overview: Affinity Medical, a Molex company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager that will be responsible for managing and sustaining engineering and tooling activities for the engineering department. Essential Functions:
Core Requirements:
Coordinates and manages the planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
Applying lean manufacturing techniques and quality improvements methods to assure product quality, cost reduction, and efficiency.
Directly manage, support and provide direction and leadership to Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Engineering Assistants, Mold Makers and Machinists

Participate as a member of the management team to establish overall vision, goals and strategies; oversee employee communication efforts to ensure understanding of the company’s strategic direction.
Influence change in a positive manner by developing and accomplishing specific group goals; lead staff towards attaining group objectives by providing leadership, counseling employees, conducting/assisting in evaluations, staff training and problem solving.
Responsible for hiring and retaining a diverse and highly-qualified Engineering department.
Prepare progress report to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.
Participate in the annual budget for engineering equipment/enhancements to accomplish goals.
Interface with sales and customers to provide Engineering support in the process of reviewing and prioritizing requests for quotes and customer projects.
Identify and implement new technologies, equipment and/or capabilities as required to support the growth of the company.
Interface with all internal departments, auditors and customers in the industry.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
8 years’ experience in an engineering related position or 3 years in an engineering management position
5 years experience with CAD software in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; must have the ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing and in person.
Excellent analytical skills including the ability to consult and manage ALL engineers regarding model accuracy, design and drafting standards.
Strong background in manufacturing techniques, IPC standards, mold making and injection mold processing.
Must have the ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to management, employees, auditors and customers.
Must have strong technical, communication and extensive problem solving skills.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
Travel as required to remote plants, facilities, customers or suppliers.
