Learning Solutions is the training arm of Lennox Industries and provides sales, technical and business improvement training programs to the Lennox network of dealers. The online and classroom-based training offered goes well beyond product specific education. We improve the sales performance of in-home consultants/comfort advisors, elevate a technician\u2019s skills to an advanced level, and help HVAC business owners run their companies more efficiently for increased profitability and employee satisfaction.
The Manager of Technical Training, Lennox Learning Solutions oversees a team of trainers, specialists, administrators, and / or contractors to provide the industry\u2019s best product, technical, educational solutions via Lennox Learning Solutions to the Lennox family of companies and their customers.
The Learning Solutions team delivers the training as a service and plays an active role in managing the life cycle of a training product. They will provide input on ideation, development, commercialization, and sales. The manager is responsible for training delivery.
The Manager of Technical Training ensures the quality of the training and provides oversight of the training services. Customers include both Lennox employees and dealer employees.
The Manager of Technical Training participates in special projects as assigned by the Director, Training.
Strategic (15% of time)
Demonstrate strategic thinking by developing multi-year plans, budgets and roadmaps based on market knowledge of customers, competition, and other market forces within the training and education industry.
Manage the portfolio of product and service offerings to maintain the highest level of relevance by increasing student efficiency, effectiveness, or both.
Operational (60% of time)
Coordinate the delivering of both online and in person training. Ensure the training meets the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Support the commercialization of new products and services by developing and providing relevant training for those new offerings
Provide support for Lennox Events (Lennox Sales Meeting, Lennox LIVE, Lennox Stores Manager meeting) such as training and content.
Grow Learning Center activity and utilization by delivering new content and improving learner journey.
Leadership (25% of time)
Provide clear direction to align team to broader organizational goals.
Motivate and inspire engagement and performance from immediate team and broader organization.
Lead the talent and performance management of reporting staff, while identifying and developing high-potential individuals who can fill the succession planning needs of the company in the future.
Master\u2019s degree (i.e., M.B.A), preferred
7 Combined years in both marketing, service, or field sales experience related to HVAC industry
3 Years managing teams

Self-starter / self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix, changing environment.
Solid understanding of training promotions and tactics along the path 2 purchase
Strong understanding of training financials and the ability to manage revenues and profitability.
Strong understanding of new training methods including learner engagement in order to align best method with company goals.
Critical thinking skills when assessing classes, materials and programs in order to recognize where changes and improvements can be made.
