Position Overview:

The primary focus of the National Product Supply Group (NPSG) Supply Chain Planning Manager-Supply Optimization is to enable NPSG’s mission of supporting all Regional Producing Bottlers (“RPBs”), maximizing system efficiencies and market opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of the Coca-Cola System in the U.S. This position plays a vital role in: (1) Supporting Current Year Production Capacity Modeling and Scenario Planning (2) Collaborating with RPB Supply Chain leaders to identify product supply issues and opportunities and balance the current year demand across RPBs. The Supply Chain Planning Manager is a subject matter expert in the areas of network sourcing and optimal product flow paths, production capacity and capabilities, inventory builds, and supply chain efficiencies. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a quick learner and must have very strong analytical thinking skills as well as excellent MS Excel and MS Access/SQL skills.

Function Specific Activities:

POSITIION ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify, validate and execute primary and alternate sourcing opportunities and inventory builds

Use SKU seasonality models to disaggregate data from annual to monthly buckets to confirm system capacity and ability to deliver volume

Identify and integrate operational constraints (e.g., dock capacity, lane capacities, actual freight cost, planned line downtime, manufacturing issues, significant current year forecast changes) into analysis to determine feasibility to execute optimal sourcing changes

Segment optimal sourcing opportunities based on system cost savings and volume impact, ease of implementation and degree of change

Create and conduct presentations of sourcing recommendations for NPSG and RPB leadership

Support Cross Bottler Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process

Responsible for creating and executing multi-year, cross RPB S&OP project implementation plan with key milestones and deliverables for inventory pre-build, supplier constraints, and promotional activities across the North American system

Collaborate with RPBs and CONA team to blueprint IT data requirements to support S&OP timing for future state planning process

Responsible for leading all weekly and monthly routines and integrating RBP network data

Lead Product Supply Assessment (PSA) and Infrastructure Planning Business Cases activities to support planned and unplanned network supply interruptions

Collaborate cross-functionally to understand location and timing for planned capital improvements and resulting line downtime and

Gather and analyze actual supply chain data (e.g., 13 week rolling historical sales, actual freight costs, demonstrated line capacity, warehouse and dock capacity constraints) to determine feasibility of alternate supply source

Incorporate stakeholder feedback in recommendations as needed in order to finalize business case and gain stakeholder alignment

Lead continuous improvement initiatives within NPSG and across RPBs in current year sourcing

Identify, recommend and implement process improvement opportunities across current year sourcing

Assess, update and maintain tools used for modelling and product supply assessments and communicate network changes to other impacted groups as appropriate (e.g., sourcing matrix change)

Conduct Product Supply Assessment Post Launch Reviews to assess effectiveness of alternate sourcing recommendations, actual system cost and capture best practices and lessons learned with the intent to inform future PSAs

Lead system and cross RPB resolution of network supply issues

Serve as SME and project manager for cross RPB, current year sourcing supply issues

Lead and coordinate cross RPB team meetings to conduct root cause analysis, determine short term resolution/actions to close supply gap and identify longer term actions and milestones to prevent future occurrences

Collaborate with procurement team to mitigate raw material issues at suppliers

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

University/Bachelor’s Degree (In areas of Engineering, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain Logistics)

5 years production scheduling, deployment scheduling, materials management, inventory management, and MRP/DRP experience with a strong planning background    

Deep understanding of supply chain metrics, manufacturing, production network optimization, transportation, demand planning, or other areas related to Logistics and Supply Chain

Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve current state

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Advanced Degree (In areas of Engineering, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain Logistics)

7-10 years of work experience

Demonstrated work experience leveraging  skills in project management; change management; process development and improvement;  and strong negotiation and collaboration

Ability to enhance systems and procedures using updated technologies and best practices

Knowledge of best practices in supply chain planning to provide thought leadership

APICS, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
