Manager - Strategic Planning/Sales & Operations Planning

Position Overview: Molex is going through exciting growth and is well positioned to be a major player in electronic and high technology solutions industry. Molex currently has 47 manufacturing plants around the world including USA. Molex needs a Manager of Master Schedulers (Site Supply Planners), who would provide strategic direction on supply planning (within S&OP framework) to a team of Master Schedulers located in the manufacturing plants around the world (currently Singapore, Little Rock AK, Shanghai China, Chengdu China and Guadalajara, Mexico). The Manager should have a strong collaborative skills to work with the manufacturing teams and materials management function. The selected candidate would have excellent inter-personal and economic thinking skills. In addition, the selected candidate would provide leadership and guidance to a in the following areas of Supply Planning/Master Scheduling within Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Essential Functions: Capacity Management
Manufacturing Plant Rough Cut Capacity Planning (both Generic & Specific capacities)
Presentation to Executive S&OP for approval (Story Boards)
Prevent capacity constraints by collaborating with marketing to invest in capacity proactively
Resolve capacity constraints
Identify excess capacity and work with pricing to sell it
Components PlanningRaw Materials & component planning in the manufacturing plantsMaster Production Schedule (MPS)
Review site MPS
Active supply management - timely response to meaningful changes in the market
Authorize change to MPS
Lead Time
Manage implications of lead time changes (eg. inventory, transit mode)
Be the voice of the customer for Lead Time to the manufacturing plant
Delivery performance
Work with Product marketing to set differentiated service levels (targets) at material-location level
Guide the team (direct reports) to Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to improve delivery performance to the target levels
Master DataProvide leadership to Lot size rule, lot size Quantity etc.Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) leadership around various Key Performance Indicators

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or Information Systems with 12 Years prior experience with three years in Master Scheduling, Demand Planning or Supply Planning. OR

Master Degree's in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or Information Systems and 6 years’ prior experience with 2 years in Master Scheduling, Demand Planning or Supply Planning
Minimum 2 years’ prior experience successfully leading people.
Willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Long Term MRP (LTMRP) in SAP, Supply Network Planning (SNP) or equivalent.
APICS certification.
Green Belt Certification
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent problem solving methodologies to arrive at creative and sound solutions
Excellent organizational skills to keep project on track and meet goals / milestones
Good writing and verbal skills for clear and concise communication
Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings (e.g. brainstorming) and build teams
Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership to informal teams and/or contractors
