Manager - Pharmacy Technology & Operations Support

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to manage pharmacy systems and interact with various business partners to coordinate the support of the various pharmacy systems and maintenance items in order to allow our stores to provide superior customer service while helping to develop the enhancements to improve our efficiency, drive script growth, Pharmacy Initiatives and meet all regulatory requirements.

Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Manage development of NexGen releases, Testing, Pilot and Production Implementation.

Manage and delegate internal ServiceNow tickets and external vendor tickets relating to NexGen, VRU, Fax Systems, Registers, Automation, Portal Applications as well as operational issues to ensure quick resolutions of reported issues.

Act as a liaison with field leadership, various support groups to answer procedural “How to” questions and provide direction on how to find additional documentation.

Represent Pharmacy Operations during issues meetings with FSS, QA, Third Party & I.T. to identify and resolve procedural issues relating to Pharmacy systems functionality.

Review and approve documentation to ensure that the Best Practices are followed to maximize efficient use of the Pharmacy Systems.

Monitor, support and provide analysis related to workflow metrics impacted by Shared Workflow, Clinical Initiatives driven by the system functionality and Automation.

Support Training needs related to System enhancements to insure best practices related to the implementation of the system changes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises a Data Administrator, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance and resolving complaints.

Experience / Requirements

Five (5) years’ experience in Pharmacy Related Role

Education

Registered Pharmacist with Bachelor’s Degree or PharmD
