Manager- Information & Data Analytics

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads a team of supervisors, individual contributors and contractors to lead the information governance, Business Intelligence and Data activities in support of business objectives and strategy.

Works closely with customers to develop and execute an overall data strategy for the company.

Develops and provides oversight of the tools and processes for the identification of data sources, and efficient and error free retrieval of information from our digital systems.

Leads the overall process for information governance within the company including associated committees, procedure oversight and governance.

Leads the business intelligence team, who is responsible for warehousing our digital data, and building reports and integration tools to make it more accessible to customers.

Leads a team of data scientists responsible to provide analytics capabilities to the rest of the IT department as well as standard tools and procedures for analysts throughout the companies.

Effectively communicates with clients, peers, and interdepartmental management in business matters involving data.

Ensures that the organization has the appropriate tools, processes and people so that data is used efficiently and effectively throughout the organization.

Relentlessly pursues new opportunities to learn from system problems, improve performance, and provide new opportunities to use data in ways that improve performance of the grid at a lower cost.

Responsible for the overall budget and cost performance for the Information and Data Analytics organization, serving as a steward for the company's investments in this domain.

Provides appropriate and timely feedback to staff and ensures the appropriate development of strategic, leadership and technical skills within the area of responsibility.

Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls within area of responsibility.

Works with Supply Chain to lead for the origination and administration of technical contracts within area of responsibility.

Ensures the new data solutions developed are cost-effective, reliable, and accurate and are consistent with the company's standards.

Where appropriate, contributes to the development of new technology standards, including a pursuit towards the use of more advanced automation and data analytics opportunities.

Position Summary:

Leads the organization responsible for the management of data, information, business intelligence and knowledge across the entire company, as well as for data analytics capabilities for the IT department. This position is responsible for both development and execution of our overall data strategy, following emerging trends and opportunities in the data analytics and machine learning space and ensuring that these capabilities are integrated into the fabric of our operation.

Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer/Data Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related degree.

Five or more years of related experience in information technology, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science or related.

3 years or more of direct supervisory experience.

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Incumbent must effectively deal with rapid technological and business change.
