Position Summary:

The Manager Shared Services Continuous Improvement will provide leadership for ADM’s growing Shared Services (SSC) operations and will lead the effort to re-engineer and ensure standardized, consistent, compliant, effective and efficient processes. This individual will play a key role in the design and the implementation of ADM’s SSC processes by applying Six-Sigma/Lean and Best Practices to the re-engineered processes. Reporting to the Global Head of Shared Services, the position will require significant process excellence expertise concerning SSC operations relating to end-to-end processes.

The position will require extensive and effective communication within the SSC organization and across functions including: financial, human resource, IT, and operational colleagues. The position will partner with global counterparts to implement best practices across all SSCs. The position will lead the improvement of processes and play a key role in ERP design and implementation for SSC processes. The position will oversee the re-engineering of existing tasks through implementing automation, process changes, and/or revised workflows to insure upstream and downstream process efficiency. Will investigate complex requirements and will head researching laws and regulations regarding specific SSC processes to eliminate/reduce errors. Position will involve a significant amount of independent thinking, judgment and decision making along with strong project management skills and excellent management and mentoring of their team.

Job Responsibilities:

The Manager Shared Services Continuous Improvement will be responsibility for managing the evaluation of all current and future SSC processes. Overseeing the critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

Research and advise SSC colleagues concerning the best practice, treatment and optimal process flow of complex transactions.

Work closely with cross functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies.

Establish processes and procedures to deliver required service levels, and implement process optimization and remediation

Responsible for documentation standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls for all SSC center processes.

Assist the Global Head of Shared Services to create a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.

Liaise and coordinate with global SSC’s and continue to globalize processes and leverage best practices in the Shared Services space.

Partner with stakeholders to improve end to end processes

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, IT or Business Administration preferred

Minimum of 6 years of experience in shared services leadership preferably in multi-functional SSC

Minimum 5 years of process re-engineering experience

International travel of up to 15%.

Advanced English (Reading, Writing, And Speaking)

Other multilingual capability is a plus

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional management (Commercial, Operations, Support, etc.).

Ability to implement best practices in shared services processes; commitment to driving competitive advantage while reducing costs, improving quality, and managing risks.

Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.

Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm and effective under pressure.

Critically evaluate, research, and audit processes to insure accuracy and process excellence.

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

Broad subject matter proficiency in multi-functional processes and understanding of their impacts on downstream processes.

Drive and challenge business units and other departments on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans with specific focus on end to end execution and impact on downstream processes/systems.

Provide subject matter expertise on projects for small and large scale system implementations, conversions and development.

Ability to correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the process to ensure that the desired results are produced.

Capable to create and contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.

Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation of various processes and programs.

Work with internal resources and external vendors to resolve complex issues.

Works on special projects as assigned.
