Manager - Construction

Essential Functions:

Know and adhere to company policies and procedures, industry practices, construction standards, welding procedures, and OSHA rules and regulations.

Manage the daily activities, roles, and responsibilities of direct reports (Construction Supervisors), Construction Contractors, and Construction Inspectors so projects are completed safely, successfully and objectives are achieved.

Manage the bid process, selection of contractors, and the use of service providers to ensure cost effectiveness and compliance with the policies and procedures.

Manage productive and cooperative working relationships with other departments so project requirements are met.

Manage multiple simultaneous projects from assignment to completion, on time and on budget and in regulatory compliance.

Manage hot taps and stopple installations.

Maintain compliance with Safety SOPs by contractors and employees.

Interact effectively with team members and customers.

Essential Requirements:

Associate’s degree: (Will give consideration to relevant construction and supervisory job experience in lieu of educational requirement.)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role with a construction team.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pipeline operations and maintenance with a thorough knowledge of operations, construction, maintenance of facilities.

Strong understanding of the execution of construction contracts

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience with building and operating pigging facilities, dehydration plants, field compression, separation, tank battery facilities.

Experience with pipeline repair and installation of new pipelines.

Experience making hot taps and stopple installations.

Good written and verbal skills

Effective use of computers/software

Attention to detail

Good understanding of federal and state codes and regulations for the pipeline industry.

Must be team oriented, self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, operational, and environmental policies

Must be willing to work overtime

Must be willing to be available for emergency response 24/7 unless an alternate is specified.
