Function of the Position

The Manager,Talent Management will provide superior implementation of plans and strategiesthrough immediate contributions in succession planning, talent development, performancemanagement leadership training and development and career framework.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Responsiblefor the overall strategy and vision for the Talent Management COE

Partnerwith the A&T HR Business Partners, A&T Leadership, the A&T COE andthe Jacobs COE to integrate and align the leadership and talent strategy withthe business strategy

Regularlyconducts a needs analysis within the A&T organization and identifies gapsin talent management

Leadand drive management processes and programs (Performance Management, OHA, LRP,Development planning) in A&T as a continuous cycle creating communications,tools and resources to educate, support and guide leadership and employeedevelopment

Contributeto the overall success of the A&T Talent Management team by identifyingways to improve talent management and enhance leadership effectiveness

Developand evolve the training and development curriculum to enable high performance

Develophigh potentials within A&T.

Partnerwith Leaders and HR to become a valued consultant in organizational developmentand change and organizational design

Coachand develop leaders

Partnerwith the various A&T COE’s to design a career framework/mapping strategy

Beable to establish and track metrics to measure the success and application oftraining curriculum and talent management programs

Whereneeded, develop and roll out post training support and reinforcement tools tosustain behavioral change and drive improved performance and business outcomes

Maintainupdated JacobsConnect site with training materials and HRBP resources

Ownand continuously improve the LMS



Bachelor’sdegree in Human Resources or similar

Minimumof 10 years of experience with 3 years of progressively more responsible leadershipexperience

Broadknowledge of all facets of organizational and talent development (HumanResources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, SuccessionPlanning, etc.)

Experiencemanaging large-scale projects in support of organizational change efforts

Experiencein developing a career framework is helpful

Projectmanagement, group facilitation, and instructional design experience

InstructionalDesign, MBTI, DISC, KornFerry Certifications a plus

Advancedskills with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook); Experience withSharePoint a plus

Abilityto work independently and build from a “blank slate”

Excellentorganizational agility and change agility

Ableto work collaboratively in virtual teams and fast-paced, matrixed environments

Strongproblem-solving and critical thinking skills

Consistentattention to detail, proven work ethic

Strongverbal and written communication skills

Excellentinterpersonal skills with all levels of organization and across multiplefunctions

Essential Functions


ical Requirements:

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

Work Environment:

Primarily work will be performed in an office environment; large complex with industrial and hazardous areas and materials

Equipment and Machines:

Computers and General Office Equipment (e.g. phone, computers, copiers, printers)


With exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. Overtime may be required.

Other Essential Functions:

Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance applicable to the position held.


Travel requirements are approximately 15 – 25%

Jeffrey Jacobs is President of Jacobs Entertainment Inc, a film buying and marketing firm. He has 35 years of experience in the exhibition, marketing and distribution of American independent and international cinema in the U.S. He is perhaps best known as the founding film buyer for the Angelika Film Center in New York City which under his supervision (from opening day in 1989 until 1997) became the highest grossing art cinema in the country.
