Job Summary

The Logistics Services leader will manage a team of analysts that monitor and assess risk of Apple deliveries across the transportation network. The main objective is to develop and enable strategies that ensure timely and accurate management of the customer experience across product deliveries and returns. Execution of these strategies includes establishing, measuring, and managing to applicable key performance indicators with logistics service providers, Apple’s vendors, and internal Apple functions to ensure the timely, efficient flow of product for Apple’s customer base. This leader will report to the Director of Americas Logistics.

5 years of experience in logistics management with a focus on logistics execution preferably in the consumer electronics-high tech arena

Strong focus on planning and effective change management skills Description

•Manage the logistics service organization responsible for delivery execution, track and trace and claims management.

•Develop a solid talent acquisition strategy; training and mentoring strategy to boost Apple’s logistics bench strength.

•Mentoring and coaching team leaders to ensure superior execution

•Ensure that Apple’s Service Levels regarding data quality and carrier performance are met or exceeded (customer satisfaction, quality, speed, cost, innovation)

•Development and execution of appropriate SOP’s in Americas transportation network.

•Tactical management of critical delivery events to ensure cost optimal, on time delivery service.

•Establishing and fostering executive relationships and securing buy-in for joint initiatives

•Providing clear and effective executive updates on service, cost and innovation

•Establishing quality control programs with goal of driving efficiency in the logistics network

•Participating in annual capital planning process to ensure that logistics initiatives are championed, resourced and aligned with overall corporate strategies

•Contributing to development of annual and 3-year logistics strategy

Education

Bachelors degree in a related field. MBA a plus.

Six Sigma, Lean or other continuous improvement program certification-experience
