POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Insurance and Planning Center (IPC) will lead a team of phone-based advisors located in our Denver regional office. This team is charged with promoting the distribution of Insurance solutions both through our Wealth Management Advisors and directly to individual investors. Reporting to the Director of the Direct Contact Center, this team supports Life Insurance, Annuities, and Long-term care product offerings as part of the Retail Financial Services business. The IPC organization is composed of approximately 23 licensed financial professionals who primarily interact with customers or Advisors via inbound/outbound phone calls. This position will oversee two of the Denver site’s teams with a focus on coaching, supervision, and sales effectiveness for the team to ensure a world-class service delivery experience for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Lead 12-18 consultants who deliver phone-based sales and servicing solutions to TIAA’s customers. Hold ongoing performance evaluations & coaching sessions; review operating results; drive leadership messaging.

Promote and foster an engaged workforce with a customer-centric culture that aligns to TIAA’s core set of values.

Demonstrate expert-level understanding of how TIAA products and services align with client needs. Implement sales strategies that encompass both inbound & outbound tactics.

Develop and execute upon a detailed business plan, promote customer solution excellence, and prudent solution delivery

Function as the regulatory principal for a group of registered individuals; responsible for risk management and compliance oversight for the team.

Operates well in a fast-paced environment: self-starter, ability to execute without significant oversight, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Deep understanding of retirement, investment and insurance products; remains informed of changes in the industry landscape and regulatory environment.

Excellent communication skills, with leaders and peers, facilitation, interpersonal and collaborative skills. Maintains strong attention to detail; possesses the ability to anticipate and manage through change; exceptional planning abilities.

Must obtain FINRA Series 26 within 120 days if not already held

QUALIFICATIONS:

FINRA Series 6

Health and Life Insurance Licensing

5 years of call center experience focused on customer service and financial services sales

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

FINRA Series 26 (if not currently held, will need to obtain within 120 days of start date)

BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience

Master’s Degree
