: The Manager, Event Marketing Operations leads the Event Marketing Operations function for the Marketing Shared Services group. The manager ensures that event marketing activities, ranging from industry trade shows to consumer events, are executed on deadline and on budget, and in a manner that effectively communicates the company’s messaging about its brands and product lines to the targeted stakeholder audiences, including consumers, channel partners, and trade media, among others.

The manager works directly with the marketing teams of TSV business lines to develop and implement event marketing plans that align with each business’ greater marketing objectives, initiatives and campaigns. The manager leads the planning and execution of a minimum of 50 events per year, representing more than 150 event days.

The Manager, Event Marketing Operations manages the department’s human resources, workload and workflow, assigning projects to team members and tracking their progress against deadlines and budgets. The manager inventories and tracks the company’s event marketing assets, from show haulers, to display vehicles, to staging, lighting, sound equipment and other infrastructural elements, to ensure that the company has the right tools to execute its event marketing schedule effectively, and that those tools are properly stored, cared for and accounted for at all times.

The manager identifies, recruits and develops talent for the event marketing operations team to address the evolving needs of the company and its businesses. The manager also helps to identify, evaluate and implement new systems, processes and external partners to enable the event marketing function to operate more efficiently and effectively, and better serve its customers across the company.

In addition to the duties outlined above, the manager serves as a contributing resource, assisting the event marketing operations team in planning and executing events in accordance with business demand.


1.Lead event marketing operations function, managing team members, assigning work, overseeing projects, and monitoring the team’s output to ensure that all field marketing events are completed within deadlines, at a high level of quality in keeping with the standards of TSV brands, within budget and resource constraints, and in a manner that effectively communicates the company’s message about its brands and product lines to targeted stakeholders. (50%)

2.Lead and execute all company dealer meetings (minimum one per year,) including site selection; the vetting of, contracting with and management of external partners and production houses; event logistics and transportation; and staff management. (20%)

3.Manage event marketing assets, including transportation and marketing haulers, trade show exhibit properties, display vehicles, staging, lighting and sound equipment, and other tools, to ensure that these items are properly inventoried, tracked, and accounted for at all times, and that assets are safe, easy and efficient to use, and deliver high-impact brand message to customers. Source and procure additional assets as needed, and/or replace and refurbish existing assets, within budgetary constraints and in accordance with capital expenditure plans, to address the emerging event marketing needs of TSV businesses. Manage disposal of aged assets, particularly display models, in a timely manner to prevent costly inventory buildup. (10%)

4.Develop and manage relationships with external vendors (such as audiovisual production houses, experiential marketing agencies, logistics/trucking companies, commercial printers, and others) to ensure that event marketing needs are executed on time, within budget, in compliance with company policies, in accordance with TSV brands’ guidelines and standards, and in a manner that effectively delivers the company’s messaging about its brands and product lines to targeted stakeholders. (10%)

5.Devise and implement metrics and assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s event marketing schedule and activities, and use the information gathered to drive continuous improvement in the company’s event marketing practices. (5%)

6.Identify and implement process changes, technology platforms and other improvements that allow the event marketing team to more closely collaborate with customers, use resources more efficiently, and execute work of higher quality at a faster pace. (5%)



Firsthand experience in event/experiential marketing and detailed familiarity with trends and best practices in the field. Strong background in event operations and logistics, including budgeting, asset management, shipping/logistics, and staffing and training.

Strong organizational and management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects at once and juggle competing priorities, individually and as leader of the design function, in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to deadlines and budgets is critical.

Customer-service mindset, with ability to manage customer expectations and willingness to go extra mile to deliver on and exceed those expectations.

Experience in managing external vendors, including but not limited to printers, audiovisual production houses, logistics/trucking companies, and experiential marketing firms.

Strong interpersonal oral and written communications skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, logistics, business administration, multimedia production, or other related field.

Minimum of five years’ experience in event/experiential marketing in a corporate or agency environment. Experience in powersports industry a plus.


Extensive Tracvel (60 percent).
