This position is responsible for leading their team regarding the design, copy and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for Macy’s credit cards and loyalty programs. The Manager, Designer will work in tandem with their copywriters to create innovative and usable solutions that satisfy needs spanning e-commerce, digital storytelling, mobile, direct mail and in-store experiences. The pace is fast, and the environment is fun and highly collaborative.

Under the direction of the VP, the Manager, Designer will collaborate in the creation of new ideas, as well as in the day-to-day execution of high quality, contemporary design solutions. The primary responsibility will be leading their team to execute designs and copy across multiple mediums from digital (high-volume e-mail campaign, mobile, web, e-commerce) to print (catalogs, direct mail, ads, POS collateral) for Macy’s credit cards and loyalty programs. You must have a fashion-forward aesthetic. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with business partners to ensure that all members of the team are aware of set deadlines and schedules.

• Lead the design & copy execution and deliver layouts for Macy’s credit and loyalty initiatives.

• Ensure we maintain the look and feel of key campaigns and ensure flawless execution.

• Generate specs for digital and print templates.

• Design and execution of the credit website site -maps, wireframes, and prototypes to enhance customer experience.

• Participate in creative conceptualization sessions with team members and cross-functional partners.

• Partner to support creative vision in regards to design, customer experience, site usability, architecture, and functionality.

• Work seamlessly with marketing, production and development teams to produce user-friendly solutions.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify new design and customer experiences opportunities for Macy’s credit and loyalty business.

• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Education:  BFA or BA degree in Communication Design, Digital Design or Graphic Design.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in digital and print design is required.

• Expert knowledge on Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator on Mac OSX platform is required.

• Intermediate knowledge of Dreamweaver, After Effects on Mac OSX platform is required.

• Passion for web and interactive design, touch-screen design and mobile platforms.

• UX/UI/site architecture experiences preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Other Skills:

• Strong storytelling and storyboarding skills preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly relating to usability of the website environment.

• Ability to execute on quick-turnaround project deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team.

• Proven ability to work from initial concept to delivery of final product.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
