General Job Summary Ensure that Western Refining's high standards of customer service, appearance, and safety are met on a consistent basis at the facilities assigned. Maintain and repair buildings, equipment, grounds, and parking lot keeping them in safe and proper operating condition. Performs all duties and tasks required of this position. Note: We are looking for 2 candidates from the Sacramento and one from the Bakersfield area. Education and Experience Vocational or specialized training and 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification or license training as required. Maintains a safe driving record and current driver's license, registration and proof of insurance. #LI-POSTMajor Job Tasks * Carry out assignments and work projects that have been assigned by supervisor. * Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery and equipment. * Trains others in department and stores personnel as required for safe and correct use of all tools and equipment. Ensure all state and federal laws (OSHA) and operation procedures pertaining to safety are followed. Perform preventive maintenance inspections to ensure proper equipment operation. * Provide excellent customer service, by being friendly, cooperative and always having a positive attitude. Ensure all work requests are responded to in a timely fashion. (10%) * Maintain all equipment and buildings assigned to the standards established by supervisor which include plumbing heating and cooling and electrical repairs. Major projects which include: painting, remodeling, concrete and asphalt repair. * Direct and schedule job task of maintenance technician. Assist in the monthly and annual evaluations of maintenance technician. * Maintain equipment and parts inventory in order to maintain and repair all equipment in a timely manner. Maintain accuracy of equipment maintenance logs and expendable supply logs. Be familiar with all equipment and their associated parts. * Performs regular maintenance and repair to existing equipment including fuel dispensers, HVAC, laundry, etc. in order to ensure proper equipment operations. * Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment periodically to ensure accuracy and compliance with governing agencies. * Practice preventative safety procedures to maintain an accident free workplace. Respond appropriately to emergency situations and report all accidents. * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Certifications for Fueling Systems Candidate should possess or be prepared to possess certifications related to various fuel systems components to include, at minimum, the following items: * CA ICC UST Service Technician * CA ICC UST Installer * CA ICC Vapor Recovery System -- Installation & Repair * Veeder-Root Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) * CA Weights & Measures Service Agent * Gilbarco and Dresser-Wayne dispenser Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
