Job Description
\r\rTenessee Rand, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, is a full service automation integrator. We provide engineering, machining, and integrated robotic systems with core competencies in advanced welding system design, high-quality weld fixtures, robotic integration, process automation, and ongoing service and support.\rPURPOSE:  This position produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.\r\r\r\rJOBS DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)\r\r\rSet up and operate CNC machinery and drill press, power saw, grinding machine, radial drill, and mill.\rProgram G and M codes and Mazatrol\rWorks off blueprints and job specs to operate machines.\rPerforms in process checks of equipment so that adjustments can be made before a nonconformance occurs or a large number of parts are machined out of specifications.\rMonitors quality, makes tool changes and adjustments as required. \rCalibrates equipment each work week to ensure accuracy.\rChecks measuring devices periodically with the shop standards to ensure they are accurate and to avoid damage.\rCleans and inspects equipment to avoid breakdowns.\rKeeps work area clean and neat and complies with all safety standards.\rMeasure machined parts to verify parts are to print.\rObserve and listen to machines during the machining process to verify correct speeds and feeds and to listen to machine for potential machine malfunctions.\rLay out, measure and mark materials.\rRead prints confer with engineers, supervisors, and manufacturing personnel about technical information to produce the best quality parts.\rStudy blueprints, sketches or drawings, and engineering information to determine the best methods and sequences to produce parts.\rDesign fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.\rFit and assemble parts as per instructions or to print using hand tools and machinery.\rSelect proper materials, machines and tools to manufacture parts as required.\rMust be able to work mandatory overtime as required.\r\r\rBASIC REQUIREMENTS \r\r\r\r\rHigh school diploma/GED, must have 4 years CNC Machinist experience or Machine Tool Technology\rdiploma/certificate and 2 years of CNC Machinist experience.\rMust be able to operate a variety of machines (CNC machinery, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, key seaters and layout tools) to produce precision machine parts to print specifications.\rMust also be able to fabricate, modify or repair machine parts.\rAlso has the skills to read blue prints, use micrometers (inside & outside), calipers, depth gages, layout tools and instruments, and be able to do shop mathematics including trigonometry.\r\r\r\r\rPHYSICAL DEMANDS\rThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
