MARMC Librarian Technician

AECOM is seeking a Librarian Technician supporting Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center’s Combined Regional Technical Library and satellite library located at Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk Virginia and Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia.
Provide technical Library Management System (TDMIS) training to customers.
Provide courier services to CORTEL customers
Maintain access to all data and web-based repositories
Provide technical information services to agencies, shore commands and Fleet unit in the interest of Fleet readiness.
Receive, catalog, barcode, mark, label, file documents for HUB files.
Check-in, check-out and re-issue documents to authorized customers.
Updates TDMIS administrative files to maintain accurate and effective system of operations, consistency, within CORTEL sites.
High School diploma and 3 years of experience or vocational/technical training beyond high school and 1 year experience or equivalent. Requires operating application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
A minimum of one (1) year of practical word processing experience within last 5 years which includes the organization and formatting of technical manuscripts and associated data to produce final documentation from rough drafts provided by engineers and technicians.
Typing Proficiency must be 45 words per minute with no more than 3 errors in 5 minutes. Desired is experience in transcription of written text into type written documents using correct and appropriate formats regarding DOD and commercial correspondence.
Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in inventory control of a naval technical library including the operation of receiving, cataloging, and barcoding, marking, labeling and filing documents for HUB files.
Understanding in security classifications and the handling of confidential material and the disposal of confidential material.
Experienced in utilizing Naval Logistics Library for ordering technical manuals.
Knowledgeable in in the Navy Standard Technical Manual Identification Numbering System (TDMIS)
Experienced in conducting audits, install revisions and changes in technical manuals and ordering new manuals.
Active security clearance at the SECRET level and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.
EQUIVALENCY: Formal specialized training, not inclusive of high school, may be substituted on the basis of one (1) month of training for one (1) month of specialized experience, not to exceed six (6) months
Previous experience shipboard technical Library or Public Library
