Ethicon Surgical Care, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager, Q&C Strategic Support that can be located in Bridgewater, NJ or New Brunswick, NJ.

The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies-including sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices-that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. You, the Manager, Q&C Strategic Support supports the strategic planning and organizational management activities in MD Quality & Compliance through the Strategy & Deployment team by providing consistent messaging across the organization and for multiple stakeholder groups (i.e. Senior Management, Q&C Leadership and the Q&C department) through a comprehensive change management strategy.

• Partner with Quality & Supply Chain Communication leaders to create a change management plan and to prepare content and messaging for all required MD Quality & Compliance communications, ensuring alignment with J&J Quality & Compliance, MD Supply Chain and the MD Q&C Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan.

• Coordinate functional working teams related to Strategy & Deployment and Points of Contact (SD POCs) to provide input to the Strategic Plan, LRFP, Goals, Business Plan. They will ensure the POCs are equipped with the outputs from the strategic planning processes to cascade within their franchises & functions.

• Responsible for the execution of the MD Q&C Communication plan to include but not limited to: town halls, webcasts, yammer, email communications, website updates, video and audio events. They will determine best forums for communication and own the preparation and delivery of all communications. They will bring about innovative communication vehicles for employee engagement and ensure we remain cutting edge with new technologies. They will coordinate delivery of these communications with the S&D POCs.

• Manage and maintain all websites, portals, share point sites, etc., for the Q&C Leadership Team, Q&C Strategic Planning and ensure the content is consistently maintained and shared within Q&C and with all business partners.

• Support the Strategy & Deployment organization for all internal and external activities related to strategic planning and innovation, to include but not limited to, gathering, preparing, maintaining and distributing reports and communications.

• Coordinate activities related to organizational management to include management of organizational charts and job descriptions. They will coordinate events and activities in support of people and talent management such as but not limited to: Credo action planning, facilitating Q&C Leadership Team meetings, Healthy Workforce plans, etc.

They work closely with various internal and external customers and key stakeholders, and will interface with senior management on a daily basis depending on their assignment. For example: MD Q&C LT; Quality Strategy & Deployment organization, OCM resources in Q&C and JJSC, IT, HR, Global Services, and multiple outsourcing partners; etc.

• Create the Communication Plan for MD Q&C and identifying key audiences and messages for all communications.

• Write communications for Chief Quality Officer and Strategy & Deployment for town halls, departmental updates, organizational announcements, senior management presentations, strategic planning deliverables, etc.

• Coordinate Strategy & Deployment Point of Contact functional working team meetings and partner with Strategy & Business Management leaders to collect their input and provide output of sessions involving Strategy, Goals, LRFP, Business Plan.

• Establish the MD Q&C branding and communication templates for use by department. Following branding guidelines when using logos for company, organization, and program.

• Create and prepare various forms of communication to include email, newsletters, PowerPoint, websites, collaboration environments, etc.

• Work with MD Q&C with design, copy, image, and content needs in the development of presentations and communications.

• Maintain key audience distribution lists and ensure continuous update with MD SC and J&J Q&C Communications teams.

• Maintain department organizational charts.

• Prepare, edit, enhance presentations for management using advanced messaging techniques.

• Create and maintain websites, portals, SharePoint and other collaboration technologies in support of MD Q&C and Strategy & Deployment. Report on its effectiveness through analytics.

• Create and launch organizations pulse surveys, communicate finding and recommend remediation.

• Support planning, project management and execution of MD Q&C team events

• Create strategy for communication across MD and develop future technology communication roadmap.

• Establish process for maintaining organizational charts and distribution lists and coordinate through departmental administrative support personnel.

• Measure and report on effectiveness of communication activities.

• Plan/coordinate Credo events with Credo Action team.

• Any other business assignments, as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Communications, Journalism, Education, Public Relations, Marketing) or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

• This role requires 8 years related experience in strategic support and communications or a MS degree with 6 years of experience in strategic support and communications is required.

• This role requires a diverse business background with experience in creating effective communications for multiple audiences and purposes, ranging from organizational engagement to senior leadership support.

• Experience in Quality, Supply Chain or Research & Development in regulated environments is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities that required:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Proofreading, Copy Editing, Basic Graphic Design.

• Must be an expert in Desktop Publishing, including SharePoint and PowerPoint maintenance and creation.

• Advanced capabilities with communications technologies and software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Examples of work will be requested for review.

• Outstanding presence and communication skills, ability to inspire trust and quickly build credibility. Must have strong collaboration and influence skills.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

• Communication experience in copywriting, graphic design, or PR preferred.

• Strategic and tactical thinking ability, complemented by a hands-on operational and business planning orientation.

• Financial, moral, personal integrity and the values that inspire trust in the organization.

• Energy, enthusiasm, commitment, courage and entrepreneurial excitement are required. Must be able to generate enthusiasm to achieve the JJSC and MD Q&C vision.

• Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally.

• Ability to make the customer central to all thinking.

Location of Role: Global role. It is preferred that this position be located at a Johnson & Johnson facility hosting our strategic programs and Q&C organizations (Preferably New Jersey (Bridgewater, New Brunswick).

Travel Requirements: 10-20% travel, including some international travel based upon business needs.
