POSITION OVERVIEW

Leads the louver inside sales team with revenue responsibilities of $35M. Drives fast and accurate turnaround of Ruskin representative project and quote requests, monitors the team’s overall performance. Coaches the louver sales team and delegates essential tasks that will lead to achievement for the sales plan. Provides quoting assistance to louver team members and customers by providing product knowledge and pricing assistance. Coordinates efforts with louver drafting, engineering, rep sales, and materials planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the day to day activities of the louver sales team, assisting associates with issues that require assistance.

Ensures timely responses and/or action for all inquiries and requests received via telephone, e-mail and fax.

Learns the fundamental functions of the louver sales group and performs these functions as a working supervisor.

Makes recommendations to the Director of Architectural Solutions on how to improve customer service, efficiency of the department, and training (internal and external).

Assist in performing a material take-off from contract documents periodically.

Fulfill the responsibilities of the sales department with orders, which includes the following. Customer purchase order execution, internal pricing clarification, customer change order write-up and pricing, order write-up for order entry, clarification with engineering for construction, addressing of customer concerns during fabrication, arranging for special freight and resolving of disputes regarding quality and/or incorrect invoicing of orders.

Assist with literature development projects including catalogs, price sheets, installation and maintenance manuals, submittals and case studies.

Coordinate special design requests and special pricing with internal resources to ensure the company can meet its commitments.

Identify and find solutions to field application problems using experience and other departments as resources.

Assist with the development of internal and external sales and product training seminars.

Provide continuous development of product / process knowledge, process raising seminars, or others as required.

Provide quoting support for both internal and external sales people in the areas of selection and application and able to answer day to day questions that are received. Ability to learn product rapidly and use that knowledge to answer product related questions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises several employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited four-year college or university; A minimum of five years of HVAC industry experience preferably in Louvers (defined as having detailed product knowledge and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate with representatives, their customers, and louver sales associates. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures that can help to streamline department workflow and improve processes. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Approximately 10% or less travel required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. The following qualifications are also essential:
