Logistics Coordinator

Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals inclusive of Shipping and Receiving functions.

Acts as liaison between Purchasing, Production planning, Customer Service and Manufacturing in matters pertaining to quality, delivery and carrier compliance. Manages international shipments and compliant regulations. Oversees all transportation related activities including transportation budget and freight payment.

Essential Functions

Comply with the company 5S standards and safety regulations.

Develop and maintain monthly reports, corporate metrics and productivity measurements for the Logistics department.

Lead training and enrichment of all shipping and receiving associates

Daily management of the Receiving Department functions ( Incoming Inspection/ Material identification, management and distribution)

Daily management of the Shipping and Packing Department functions ( domestic and international shipments / packaging of materials / shipping documents / export filings / freight quotes)

Support inventory management consisting of reconciling and maintaining of department’s supplies inventory

Responsible for approving material requisitions within the department

Establish and manage relations with other facilities, carriers, custom brokers, sales team and customers

Ensure that orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner, increasing OTD

Plan and coordinate consolidated shipments

Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies

Commits to Continuous Improvement

Assist audits of freight invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accruals

Head team to develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation

Manages Trade Agreements Certificates for inbound and outbound materials

Responsible for compliance with the federal state and local import/export and warehouse regulations (American Export/Trade Compliance Systems).

Act as a liaison between Supply Chain Management and the Logistics Department to facilitate and implement global supply chain initiatives

Provides training to Customer Service and Purchasing regarding available freight terms and shipping practices

Monitor and addresses Customer Complaints related to the Logistics Department

Develop and maintain freight quotes process in order to increase customers responsiveness

Responsible for managing drop shipments

Excellent Computer Skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google suite experience preferred.

Open minded, willingness to accept/drive change and desire to become a leader.

Thorough understanding of the EnPro Transformation including dual bottom line, core values and empowerment concepts.


Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience required.

2 years experience or combined knowledge with transportation and Logistics


Certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Trade.

Familiar with Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Formal training or experience with international regulations and trade compliance.
