The Sales Consultant/Loan Officer is responsible for making outbound calls to existing Portfolio customers to aggressively sell a range of mortgage products in order to meet individual sales goals and company retention goals.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Consistently meet outbound call requirements.

Achieve sales targets and conversion goals.

Analyze existing/current loan information to determine the best refinance options for each client.

Follow up aggressively on unconverted opportunities.

Complete required loan application, understand current underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements

Strict adherence to call center performance standards including call monitoring, phone productivity and satisfactory customer service.



To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

1 year of successful mortgage Loan Officer experience required.

Required to have an existing license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Candidates that do not have an existing NMLS license will still be considered if they have mortgage sales experience with a bank that does not license individual employees.


Must be motivated to aggressively pursue leads, make outbound calls and achieve sales goals

Must have a strong sales focus and persuasive ability with the ability to convert sales leads.

Must have excellent customer service skills and possess strong math aptitude

Excellent communication and phone skills are required

Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, and market driven work environment

Must have strong typing skills and be able to navigate through multiple windows while speaking to borrowers on the telephone

Candidates should be open to flexible scheduling options and have the ability to adapt/change as needed


Must be able to meet applicable state licensing requirements as required by PHH. Licensing requirements can include, but are not limited to satisfactory completion of background checks, fingerprinting, credit reports, testing and continuing education. This is in addition to what the company requires upon hire
