This is an open position at the WestPenn Power Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation. [WPP] This position is open to FirstEnergy's Power Systems Institute (PSI) graduates only. There are multiple positions at various locations within the WestPenn Power Company. This position offers hands-on experience working as a Lineman C Min to students graduating from the PSI Program. Workers perform duties in connection with the safe and efficient installation, removal, operation, inspection, testing, maintenance

and repair of de-energized electric transmission and distribution lines and associated equipment and energized secondary lines and associated equipment including company and customer-owned service facilities. Qualifications Must meet the company's requirements as to general qualifications and the following additional requirements: - Two year Associate's Degree

* Previous hands-on experience through Power Systems Institute Program, preference for 2017 graduates.

* Knowledge of the principles and operation of transmission and distribution systems.

* Familiar with the use and application of protective equipment for working on or near energized conductors.

* A valid Class A CDL and the ability to safely operate motor vehicles.

* Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations.

* Ability to climb and work safely and with confidence from poles and structures.

* Ability to perform heavy physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.

* Ability to prepare legible and accurate reports using paper documents and mobile computer.

* Ability to effectively interact with customers and public contacts in connection with work assignments.
