QUALIFICATIONS Greif, Inc. The Leave of Absence\u00a0Administrator will play a key role in supporting the effective and legally compliant administration and communication of Greif\u2019s Leave of Absences, including but not limited to Disability, FMLA, ADA, Military, Workers Compensation and Personal leave for the U.S. and Canada in compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and local jurisdictional laws and regulations. This position will monitor all leave of absences and partner with site coordinators, our third party administrator, legal counsel, employees, agencies and others to ensure the smooth execution of the leave management process.\u00a0 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the primary contact for managers and HR as it relates to all leaves of absence cases (FMLA, disability, personal, military and supplemental leaves) in accordance with federal and state statutory requirements and Greif policies Day to day management of the leave administration: primary interface to vendor and payroll, benefits and provide guidance to HR teams as necessary Coordinates the administration of the return from leave process, including applicable paperwork, plant notifications and verifies any applicable payroll adjustments are processed by the location Administration of all Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) leave articles and advise of best practices for CBA negotiations Liaison between site coordinators and third party leave of absence and disability administrator Partners with payroll department to ensure employees are compensated accordingly Maintains accurate records of employee leaves in full legal compliance; compile and validate leave pay files for payroll submissions, working with partner HR groups and vendors Ensures 100% compliance on a US Federal and State level where Greif has operations; keep current with emerging best practices Ensures Workday accuracy and performance of functions performed by HR Plant Coordinators. Conducts vendor, security access, HRIS and other audits as necessary to ensure accuracy of records and resolves discrepancies in a timely and compliant manner. Monitors data entry in HRIS for accuracy and timely entry; identifies any discrepancies with leave\/disability third-party administrator Maintains leave of absence policies and programs Works to improve the leave of absence and sick leave processes including recommendation of new practices Responsible for identifying training, education and communication needs including coordinating and delivering training to the appropriate audience as required Performs other projects and duties as assigned EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field preferred PHR or SHRM-CP preferred WORK EXPERIENCE 3-5 years of experience in a leave of absence or related position that included administration of both continuous and intermittent leaves and workplace accommodations KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Extensive knowledge of administration of federal and state leave programs and applicable laws, including, but not limited to FMLA, CFRA, and PDL. General understanding of other HR benefits, laws and practices, including, but not limited to various disability benefits, ADA\/ADAAA, HIPAA, USERRA. Professionalism and confidentiality are essential, with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service to employees during a time of need. Expert Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to have high focus on attention to details, able to manage multiple competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and oral\/written communications skills are required.
