Dynamet is a member of Carpenter’s Performance Engineered Products division and maintains a second manufacturing facility in western PA. LEAN MANUFACTURING SUPPORT SPECIALIST – Clearwater, FL location (No relocation assistance available for this position) Responsible for supporting the Manufacturing area with consideration for goals and objectives of the area. Develop weekly operations and manpower schedules as necessary. Create complex reports, charts and graphs as instructed by Operations Manager.  Support deployment of lean manufacturing systems across the facility. Facilities and leads team meetings.  Participates in teams and provides problem solving expertise required.  Work with personnel, systems and equipment to achieve and maintain desired work center performance.  Corrects work center performance issues after they are identified.  Maintain advanced knowledge of the existing manufacturing systems including the computer systems, steel making processes, material flow and handling schemes and processes.  Orders and stocks parts, supplies, measuring tools and hand tools.  Creates SOP and FMEA documents as instructed.  Review manufacturing line-ups for accuracy and recommend changes as necessary.  Evaluate new equipment, and process and maintenance technologies and provides feedback to management.  Participated in the development of equipment scheduling rates and guidelines. Responsible for equipment TPM planning. Provides training to process operators.  Responsible for RMR and SPC analysis. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS 4-year Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree and 2 more years of experience in a manufacturing staff, supervisory, or management position preferred.  However, will take into consideration candidates with High School Diploma who have 3 years of manufacturing staff or supervisory experience.    Strong, working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma process management.  Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification preferred. Working knowledge of various manufacturing systems including the computer systems, steel making processes, material flow and handling schemes, quality systems and process control techniques. Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manager projects and teams.  Prior experience evaluating new equipment, processed and maintenance technologies. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Requires problem solving, decision making and project management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and ever changing production environment with frequently changing priorities.
