Lead Training Specialist - Instructional Designer','P82114','!*!The Lead Training Specialist -  Instructional Designer is responsible for the end-to-end development of learning solutions for the organization. The individual in this role will use business requirements and end user information to design, develop, test, and assess learning programs within the organization. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders of the organization, experience in training design and delivery, as well as knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices will ensure that the Instructional Designer helps learners to attain the desired and optimal skill state.


Integrate organizational goals and vision into learning solutions

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to understand learning scope and vision

Build business cases for solution designs and implementation

Clearly identify training program targets and establish user case scenarios, as well as their characteristics and gaps

Develop learning solutions, training content, activities and development programs

Analyze existing training and resources for improvement

Work closely with SMEs and internal stakeholders to prepare appropriate content for programs including training materials, leader guides, related activities and tools

Incorporate blended learning and other instructional mediums, including self-led and instructor-led programs, e-learning, or traditional classroom settings to create the best experience for knowledge transfer

Collaborate with stakeholders on product development to create tools and materials to supplement learning, such as videos, web programs, guides, worksheets, and online exercises

Provide coaching and training to staff on delivery of developed learning solutions (Train-the-trainer)

Develop learning assessment tools and metrics to measure post training effects on employees and measure progress against desired state

Design instructional prototypes and conduct testing and analyses of materials to make recommendations for improvement

Review learning solutions on a continuous basis for quality assurance

Coordinate with vendors, and manage relationships with third-party providers of products and services to supplement learning initiatives','!*!Position Requirements

Formal Education and Certification

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Education, Public Relations or other related field.  Master’s degree a plus.

Certification in Instructional Design or CPLP  preferred

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience creating training and development programs

Experience working in a global matrixed organization

Experience with Learning Management Systems and authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) required

Excellent written and oral communication

Strong knowledge of adult learning theories

Visual design skills and storyboard experience

Experience developing curriculum paths based on skill requirements and training needs
